The former Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi II, has said Nigerians take too much rubbish from politicians, encouraging the masses not to be intimidated by political leaders.

According to Sanusi, if the politicians are not held to account, coming generations might have no country to call theirs.

Sanusi, a former Central Bank of Nigseria, CBN, governor, said that most Nigerians did not go into politics, does not make them inferior, adding that Nigerians are too afraid in their comfort zones.

Speaking in a video that has gone viral, the technocrat said:
“We cannot be intimidated by somebody because you are a president or you are a governor and we cannot tell you that you are wrong.

“We have chosen different parts. If I had gone into politics, at least given the people that have access to be president in Nigeria, I could have become president or I could be governor.

“That I choose not to go into politics does not mean I’m a subordinate human being. This is what we all have to learn as Nigerians.

“We take too much rubbish, and we are all too afraid in our comfort zones.

“By the time these guys might have finished with us, our children will not have anywhere to call a nation.

“The only way to retrieve our nation and give our children the future they deserve is, if you are not in politics, you must hold those in politics to account.

“It is not a comfortable situation to be in. When people are incompetent and they don’t like you, you wear their dislike as a badge of honour.

“You can’t be comfortable and feel normal in a distortional environment.

“And for the young people, do not fail. This is your country, this is your future. Help us build this country for you.”

The rubbish we take from these politicians is just because of different tribes and beliefs FORCED together as one

Imagine a Nigeria where there’s no Igbo mixed with Hausa and Yoruba

Like Arewa country is mainly Northerners and a northern president do nonsense

All Hausas will rally up in one mind and protest like there’s no tomorrow

Same with Igbo and Yorubas as respective countries and their leaders do rubbish

They’ll hit the street in one accord

But Nigeria with three major tribes that don’t work together can’t achieve a single agreement

Yoruba leader will instigate their people against any protest by Igbo or Hausa vice versa and tell them this is a political ploy to dethrone Tinubu

THE ONLY SOLUTION TO NIGERIA IS DISINTEGRATION

EVERY TRIBE HAVE YOUR OWN COUNTRY

After Emir Sanusi Lamido Sanusi was part of those who mortgage Nigeria into this current state of redundant bondage? The citizens have been cowed into a kind of Orwellian state animal farm.

Nigerians are senseless that is why we keep electing the kind of leaders we have. All politicians need to do is to do dorime on election day and they will be reelected.

I watched a video where Sanusi stated that we shouldn't vote anybody that tells you it would be easy to rule Nigeria.
These are one of the challenges a president face.

The president is the most held accountable individual in this country.
But then again, there are other people who should be held accountable as much as the president but we tend to turn a blind eye towards.

1, is we ourselves : how often do we pay our tasks, it would be a great sin if you commenting and criticising is yet to renew your expired drivers license but then again criticise Mr president at same time.

2, state governors: I'm surprised more people tend to hold Ganduje that construct multiple state projects and is debt free of salaries responsible and accountable much more than Obaseki and okowa of the PDP who are/were governors of oil rich Niger delta states but yet left the states in a terrible condition coupled with having one of the worst state schools in the country.

3, Senators: Now this arm of govt were quick to approve the president plea to 8k monthly palatives for over 12 million Nigerians.
I did the maths, that's over 110k slots per senator.
These men who are educated knows better than to pass the bill, even those in the jesus christ labour party didn't object to the bill cos they weigh their pocket before their constituents.
Imagine holding over 20k slots of over 110k slot?
That's about 160million monthly, the senator would still be perceived as saints if he disburse the rest 90k.

The president has the lowest to gain of the country fails but then his advisers/ministers and other arms of govt have the highest to benefit if they loot what's good for the economy.
The president has been elected, and instead of being the president enemy and hating for no reason, we should rather be his best friends in guiding him towards the evil sets around him.

The truth of the matter is this current breed of political breeds , Tinubu and co are core thieves who don't have the people's interest at heart. How will a sane man intentionally make the people suffer.
1. No increase in minimum wage
2. Useless policies

It's a pity. People like akpabio should be flogged naked

I concur.

The same rubbish taken from Yahaya Bello, Obi and other politicians.

We only complain when it doesn't favour us.

We are free to protest but no one must burn down our dear country.

We are not cannibals. If we must protest, it has to be done in a civilized way
