Sad tale. I blv the yorubas in Ilorin lo put religion aside one day and consider their culture. I v read many trash about that town. It's a complicated matter. So when. Some trolls mock yorubas with it in this site, it's cis they don't know the real foundational story and problems attached with Kwara State at large. Yorubas are the most populous there but their are other tribes in it that FG glued together to makeup Kwara State during state creation. Maybe Ilorin should v been carved out as a single state with nearby Yoruba towns. It's location too is a challenge. Very close to the north si it was so accessible from the Hausa/fulani armies that was called upon when old Oyo was to take back the town.
The issue that now discombobulate the matter is the way Yoruba muslims there carried Islam in a wrong way. They are ready to fight their fellow yorubas in religious matters. That's why some call them slaves of the caliphate. It's really pathetic.
