Yea from way back, i had a serious problem withdrawing money via teller due to mismatch signatures.
Then i was a student and the stipend money i wanted to collect was my heaven, but i became stranded. The cashier had to help me by turning his screen for me to copy my signature so i can just go cos he also saw that i needed the money so much. I was not used to using teller but My ATM had expired i couldn't renew due to charges..
That was then sha 2008.... Wahala

Over the years a persons signature will gradually start to change. I observed this with my dad for instance.
In my case ever since ATM cards became commonplace i only go into the banking hall when the card gets lost or is expired. Every time this happens the embarrassment is something else , because my signature has subtlely changed over the years.

Yeah. Why not? I must admit it wasn’t easy coining a consistent classy one. Prior to settling for one my cheques always got bounced at bank counters

For some weird reason, I found it really difficult picking a signature. I had to surf the net for samples to aid me

From primary 5, my mum sang the chorus of signature to us.

Here it goes:
- You're not supposed to have more than one signature

- Do not sign on behalf of anyone or forge a signature, it's a crime.

- Don't try to copy another person's signature because a signature is meant to be unique.

- Learn not to forget your signature


So I started rehearsing my signature from primary 5 and the first place I used it was in the bank, while opening my account at the age of 18.

So I made sure I listened to Mum and it saved me from signature issues.
