They used to say the same thing about women in certain professions like being engineers, doctors and surgeons but it doesn't always hold true. Once the job does not involve pure physical or athletic ability our natural biological advantage is reduced drastically. If you go to any university the list of the top 10 fastest or strongest students will almost certainly have only men on it but when you check top 10 best students in academics you won't see such a disparity.
A coach is a thinker and a planner for the team, she is not out there running, jumping, and kicking.

When she took over from a man the England team had lost 7 of their previous 11 games and she has been spanking many male coached teams in her career.

You misread my post there. The 2nd part you highlighted was directed at Lauren James. I have seen folks talk about how she is better than most male footballers which is not true. No matter how good she is playing against women, it wont end well if they put her up against men. Na our sisters from Enugu pocket am the other day. How will she now fare against the likes of Rodri or Rice.

As for Sarina Wiegman her credentials speak for her. If they gave her say France or Germany, she will beat Southgate for sure. But will she reach back to back world cup finals with back to back Euro wins with this same England team is the question..

The problem i have with your stance is your assumption that because of her gender she must be an inferior men's coach. If your argument is that we don't truly know how good she is because of the quality of her opposition or that male players might struggle to submit to her authority, then a discussion can be had. It is also funny that there is pushback considering Southgate got the men's job with a CV that included finishing bottom half of the EPL in his 3 seasons as club coach and ending that by relegating his team, and then leading an England Under-21 team that had John Stones, Harry Kane, James Ward-Prowse, Jesse Lingard, Loftus-Cheek, Michael Keane, and Danny Ings to bottom position in the Under-21 Euros.

I disagree with this.

Women’s football is different from men’s football. The men she defeated in her career were coaching women teams, not men’s teams. So, it doesn’t automatically mean that if she coaches an average men’s team, she’ll succeed.

After all, we’re not seeing women sitting in the gaffer’s chair in top flight football.

I’m not saying it’s not possible. I’m just saying it’s too early to make instant success assumptions for women coaches in men’s football. The levels are different.

If it’s going to happen, it’ll be a gradual process. It’s going to take time.

This is the main issue I think they’ll face. It’s going to be difficult for women in this climate to build a successful men’s team. It’s not impossible, it’s just going to be hard.

Of course, some men’s team need little input from their coach in order to succeed.

We heard the same excuses when female referees were appointed for men's football. How will they respect her, how Will she control the game, how will she keep up and other shenanigans yet she didn't do worst than her male counterparts. Players will fall in line when they know the person in authority irrespective of gender can bench their ass if they don't follow orders.

But the truth is coaching women is not the same thing as coaching men. Managing mentality, temperament, ego, tactics and skills at men's level is a whole different ball game.

It's not about the intelligence alone. If you don't have the balls, you'll fail woefully.
