My close neighbor and I were talking about our rent which is due in 2 months time and we open up to each other about the situation of the country and how we are still coping with feeding our family, school fees and other bills from our salaries with nothing left and some debts sef not to talk of savings for rent.

And I wonder how do people especially family men manage to pay their rent in this bad economy ??
Live within your means.

Don't impress anyone
Eat what you can afford
Have a budget & stick to it
Send your kids to school you can afford, ensure you go through the home work with them

As a family man one has to plan and budget very well.

For me,I don't have issue paying my rent. What I do is, pay from passive income.

Or I use my 10 per annum of 10million mutual funds.

Life is easy if u started your 20's organising yourselves very well.

To pay your rent and other bills in this economy can be simple. Just create your own economy and design an income for yourself. You need the right mindset and most of all, a MENTOR...

I regret building a bungalow few years later after hardship but today, I'm glad because most of my friends who rented a place when I took the risk to get the bungalow 10 years ago have already been sent packing , some still doing well but in their own rented house. I feel too comfortable Sha because rent no let me know the difference between Christmas and mid year

Depending on the amount of my rent. I try as much as possible to bring out 30k each month and drop it in a contribution group which will be shared at the end of the month. It won't be easy doing that but you will be happy you did at the end of the year.

Thanks to Almighty God for making me a landlord at a young Age. I feel for people paying rent in this present Bulaba Alias Emilokan Regime. Even Abachas military junta was never like this . To put fuel for car and Gen na war . Talk more of paying house rent & school fees .

I see people who ask these questions as irresponsible fellas, it like to the fact that the day your wife misses her period she has given you 9 months notice to prepare. Same thing goes for your rent, the day you rent the house start making provision for your next month rent either by setting a specific amount every month into a fund that will be yielding interest

For instance, if you rent is 60k, 500 naira a day would amount to 3000 a month and so 72k per year.
grin
Oga let person hear word.for the fact that you are fortunate is a reason to thank God,not for you to start equating every body as you.

It's simple....if you can't pay rent. .move back to your family house...don't feel entitled to the Landlord's house rent free ...he or she has responsibilities too. When tenants start having meetings and conspiring...it's always at the expense of the Landlord..No one forces anyone to pay the rent ...but please do the needful and move out unless the Landlord agrees otherwise. Doing otherwise will just show you are a cheater and while tenants think they are getting away with it...they will bare the consequences or their children...You can't make life unbearable for landlord
