I'm married with a kid, we've been managing with hubby's salary nd I've been believing God for a job, now a teaching job of 30k came and after all the expenses like TP, 10k per month, my baby's fee for d term like 27k, and lunch am left with little or nothing. I'm tired of staying at home not doing anything or getting any cash for myself but the 30k pay is so discouraging... Am confuse whether to accept the job or not. What's your advice NL.

She should accept the offer and get a side hustle for weekends.. 30k plus whatever she is getting from her side hustle will help her survive.

This country is really full of shit. This same 30k was what I just spent over the weekend and I believe many more out there spent more than that. And that's what one person willl be paid for the whole month. I really feel for this country. The tenure is still a very long one. This country is full of shitsssssssssss.. Bloody fffffff country. The worse thing is that everybody is facing it.. For the accepting it or not. I believe you are a woman, take it for now in order to avoid being at home and to help your hobby. But if you have other means that can give you that or more than that, I will suggest you leave it. Teaching does not pay anymore. Except you want to do it for the sake of teaching young ones.

Stay steadfast. Explore opportunities to get a new, higher-paying job or how to make more with your time spent in your current place.

I had a friend who was paid about 30k as a starting wage last year September. He was really discouraged due to expenses and the balance he has every month after monthly expenses and kept telling me he will quit. I encouraged him to start doing more things in the school to improve his personal value. To be honest, the area around him has little to offer by way of value. He has a family to care for too.

He's quite knowledgeable about systems and used that opportunity to learn more and offer value to the school. After that, his salary was stepped up with 5k, March this year. He also started lessons for learners in school and that grew his earnings in school time to about 55k. He informed me in July that the school owner said he'd be moved to 50k wage this September.

Well, things are going up, so can't say I'm excessively happy for him. But he's scaling up and skilling up.

we were told as a child that after graduation from school,we would have a good job with official car and mansions.More than 3years,after graduation we are still unemployed.

Many of you won’t like this my response, why would any reasonable graduates be doing 30k job. Except you are a useless graduate, House maid with no secondary school certificate earns 40k monthly.
A University Graduate jubilating over 30k job for what please?
I’ll pick a 10k job under these conditions: If my intentions are to learn something valuable that translate to bigger earnings, or am their to spy on the business/organization which buttresses my first point.
Those 10k, 20k jobs are not meant for university graduates, because it doesn’t required complicated skills.

Teaching job? Mbanu.. If it is another job whose experience will become useful after a while, I would have advised you to take.

Teaching job these days is just a waste of time, from poor salary, to useless experience that won't add meaningful value to your life, loads of periods loaded on your head. You will just be wasting your time.

Those years you want to go and waste teaching, look for a skill or business to learn. Make sure you learn from someone that get steady orders so that you can gain much experience in little time.

You will be happy you did.
I still regret all the years I wasted teaching.

If it's a job that will give you experience you need for the next step in life, do it diligently and while you acquire the experience too, be looking for better options at the same time.
