Hello colleagues in the house, does this promotion based on 30k minimum wage implementation or simply a promotion based on the old wage structure? I'm asking because, to the best of my knowledge, (i may be wrong) Rivers state is yet to fully implement the 30k minimum wage, contrary to the former governor's promise.

Of course Rivers State is not paying minimum wage obviously it is simomy a promotion, or if the Governor is considerate he will implement minimum wage and promote us on that foundation

If your theory is correct t then
A level 8 receiving 85k gross will receive 85×2 ≠170k gross at level 12.
Therfore it means that a level 8 step 3 that receives 81k gross will receive 81×2≠ 162k gross at level 12
After deduction only them knows how much will be net pay.

The difference with regards to level 8 pension deduction amounting to double with level 12 pension deduction as written here is insignificant. It's about 25 naira and something kobo. My pension deduction is 4236.61 ( L8 S4) monthly.

Anything about salary size wait until you get your next level alert then you will be able to know without arguement the real deal. One thing i can say is activated your next level song...10years waiting is not a joke.

The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has shared the sum of N966.110 billion July Federation Account Revenue to the Federal Government, States and Local Councils.


This was contained in a communiqué issued at the end of the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) meeting , in Abuja, Tuesday.


The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun.

The N966.110 billion total distributable revenue comprised statutory revenue of N397.419 billion, Value Added Tax (VAT) revenue of N271.947 billion, Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL) revenue of N12.840 billion and Exchange Difference revenue of N283.904 billion.

Cost of collection was allocated N62.419 billion, while deductions for savings, transfers, refunds and tax credit cancellation stood at N717.962 billion.

The balance in the Excess Crude Account (ECA) was put at $473,754.57

According to the communiqué, from the total distributable revenue of N966.110 billion; the Federal Government received N374.485 billion, the State Governments received N310.670 billion and the Local Government Councils received N229.409 billion.

The sum of N51.545 billion was shared to the oil producing states as 13% derivation revenue.

Gross statutory revenue of N1. 150 trillion was received for the month of July.


That figure was lower than the N1. 152 trillion received in the month of June by N2.497 billion.

My fear is that most of our governors may misappropriate the money!

When I read and listen to news about other states implementing increase in salaries of civil servants and other measures to cushion the impact of the subsidy removal and harsh economic reality, even in the states with very little resources, I feel bad about the type of leadership we have in Rivers State. Here in Rivers State, we are not even talking about increase in salaries to cushion the impact of the subsidy removal and the harsh economic reality that has made the current pay (without promotion for 10 years) a mockery in the face of the new economy reality but praying for promotions for 10 years plus. Is a pity we found ourselves in a state that is blessed with lots resources/revenue but we don't feel the impact of such because of the kind of leadership we have.

Last week I read some post here about a meeting and issues that concerns teachers and promotions. Attributing delay to absence of constituted board members and chairman, and a promise of doing so within a week. Now my questions:
1. Is it teachers that constitute board members and chairman that should bear the burden of failure of appointment of board members and chairman?
2. How long does it takes to appoint board members and chairman?
3. Are there no qualified persons in the state to be appointment board members and chairman?
4. When will the one week promised for the constitution of the board elapsed?

If you started with NCE in 2013 . you ll be placed on level 10 step 2.

The fear of RSG is the beginning of wisdom. My advice to my friends and colleagues is to anticipate with caution. I have never trusted this government of secrecy. They may decide to add 10k to everyone's salary.

It's beyond that stage.10k ll be palliative only , which we re not sure of coming to our reach but,promotion and it's implementation is mature ,ripe and about to drop.it may or may not be paid at the end of this month becos of the delay in constituting the board but it ll be paid sooner
Palliative and implementation of promotion knocking at the same time has thrown the Government into permutation,;which to allow and which to leave behind.if palliative is given to workers ,they ll ask for the implementation of promotion but if they're given promotion they may be reluctant to ask for palliative. palliative is at the discretion of the government. they determine who n how much to give out as palliative

I guess we have two packages thus,
1. Promotion package which should hopefully come on the foundation of 30k minimu wage.
2. Federal Government palliative measure which several states are already implementing.

If we enjoy the two packages at the fullest will it be a crime?

It'll be based on your current wage, not on the 30K. There is no plan for that at the moment

After series of meetings with government and our employers..
We have gotten the final rundown of our promotions..

It was a 3 step promotion, meaning that if you were in level 8, you will be promoted to level 12, if in level 9, you are promoted to level 13.

UBE BOARD promoted a total of 15,800 staffs while secondary schools board promoted a total of 7202 staffs...

All done and signed..

So if payments don't come this month due to the formation of secondary schools board,it will be surely paid next month being September...
