Nigeria on forward march.

Lazy youths should repent and take their jobs serious so they'll not fail job interviews, lose their jobs and suffer serious poverty in old age after wasting your youth on useless unproductive activities and horrible mindset. No govt is doing you, you are the one doing yourself and you will suffer if you don't change right now.

There's job now and when you're recruited, don't go there only to chew gum, toast girls, form nonsense empty-headed fine boy/girl, gist, gossip, slander, charge your phone and use their internet subscription to download/watch porn, telemundo, insult , cyberbully and play all day on Nairaland and other social media platforms.

O ye lazy Nigerian youth, quit laziness, late-coming, unpatriotic actions and pocket your nonsense arrogance, bigotry, hatred and entitlement mentality so you can learn, be productive and keep your job

Patriotic Nigerian youths will always give their best! Shout out to all diligent and patriotic youths out there. You are doing well. God bless you. God bless Nigeria for ever! Check my signature for free stuffs!

Not even Asian "miracle" economies were able to achieve such dramatic feat within a short period.
I suppose NBS just changed their definition of unemployment to push out this bogus figure.

These NBS people must be smoking Oshogbo weed. I don’t believe all the poverty and desperation in the land un-employment rate can only be 4.1% no matter the methodology used to calculate it. They should tell us why the former methodology put the figure at 33% two years ago and then with their abracadabra method it suddenly crashed so significantly

This is truly heart warming. If you are ready and seriously ready to work and earn legitimate income, there's job.

Pocket your nonsense arrogance and fake taste life. You can't start job today and start living large tomorrow, true success takes time to attain.

You can not even start work now and still have time for Nairaland/ social media gists. It is unseriousness and laziness that is killing you.

My advice to you is to repent, have self discipline, start small, learn with humility, work diligently, courteous, loyal, upright, hardworking and humble then rise up steadily.

propaganda will not improve the economy and exchange rate.

Are you speaking from experience because you are jobless or unemployed?

Well, I don't need to be either of those 2 things to know the truth.

Only last year, KPMG stated that unemployment i"n Nigeria was at 37.7% and projected to reach 40.1% by 2023. So either somebody forgot to add the "0" after 4 or deliberately removed the "0"

So where did the phantom jobs come from?

Except you are now considering those of us who are now remote workers working for foreign clients. This cannot even rightly be considered in the figures because we are not actively contributing to the GDP.

You are wrong. Google is your friend

The positioning changes each time a country releases their data, but the rates remain the same until the said country does another publication.

According to World of Statistics, the previous rate ( ~ 33%) which was published in 2020 placed Nigeria at the highest spot earlier this month. According to GlobalData.com, Nigeria was only second to South Africa two years ago. So whether you agree with these statistics or not, we're still one of the highest. And that's not even the bone of contention, so fixating on the position of Nigeria in the unemployment scale instead of the suspicious sharp drop is a strawman's fallacy. 33.3% to 4.1% is extreme. While it's not impossible, such a change within a short period could not have gone unnoticed if it was true. They obviously adopted a new calculation method which is very questionable and difficult to relate with.

I also found the figure suspicious. I was just pointing out to your assertion that Nigeria has the highest unemployment figure in the world.

That is based on ILO standards.

The truth is that what we suffer from is underemployment not unemployment. It is extremely rare to find a Nigerian who does not do something or the other to earn a living.
I am not sure you read the article.

Okay. Now I get it. NBS changed its methodology of calculating unemployment figure....I get it now. So once you are engaged in one form of employment, business or skill you are adjudged to be employed.

But is that the standard practice everywhere in the world?
