Hello, everyone.

Is there anyone here seeking admission to or currently enrolled in TH - Rosenheim?

What do you want to know?

Good day guys,

I hope you're all doing well. I'm reaching out to you all with a bit of a request. I'm currently in the process of finding accommodation in Munich, and I have to admit, it's been quite a challenge.

The accommodation search has been a bit tougher than I anticipated. So here's where I could really use your help – if any of you happen to know someone in Munich or have any connections there, I would be extremely grateful if you could put me in touch.

Whether it's a lead on an available place, advice on where to look, or even just a friendly contact who could offer some guidance, it would mean the world to me.

Please do let me know if you have any information or connections you think could be helpful. I truly appreciate your support.

Have you used Wg-gesucht.de?

Good day.

Do you know if it's possible to use private health insurance for enrolment at TH-Rosenheim if you're less than 30 years old?

Also, do you know any scholarship programs open to Masters students in STEM?

Thank you.

For your first question, just ask them. But, I think statutory (public) health insurance is usually compulsory.

Second, use the daad website

Please have they given you AD??

Good morning all, firstly my thanks to everyone who has contributed on this forum, every information has been useful. I am currently facing a bit of challenge, I am trying to fund my block account via expatrio platform. However upon initiating a bank transfer via my bank for transfer of funds to my expatrio account, it was reversed by my bank, the reason according to the bank being that the description I used to initiate the transfer "student upkeep" is invalid for transfer to a private company "expatrio" abroad.

I would like to kindly request, if any one who has gone through this process can be of assistance to me. It would be much appreciated.

Also, I would like to share my progress so far

Good evening everyone,

I wanted to ask about the visa fee. How do we know the exchange rate the embassy uses for that day because the rate is not stable right now?

Thank you.
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by jaeima: 2:41am On Aug 26, 2023
For your first question
I registered with a private health insurance company and I’m below 30 so yes it’s very possible.
Register with them and send a public health insurance provider a message to send your confirmation of health insurance directly to your school.

Sure, but you should have a letter from your university allowing you to resume at a time later than October 16th. If not, you're risking a refusal.

Please, when did you book your appointment?

Hallo Everyone!
I observed that the study route process took a different turn since during the COVID era and a lot has changed unlike it used to be pre-2018.
People applying and having to wait for over 1 year to get interview dates cos they don’t fall into a “special” category.
Well I have carefully studied and analyzed the trend, and had a friend apply the strategy.
For candidates who which to study in Germany, here is a strategy that worked it’s a “7-month plan”;
1. Bookmark prospective schools
2. Move to Togo or Benín to apply for a resident
3. Apply for as many schools as possible
4.Ensure that your residency is Atleast 6-months old before you proceed to the embassy( from experience)
5. Proceed to apply via your new country of residence.
6. Takes approximately 1 month to conclude visa process if you have everything in place ( Sponsor letter or Blocked account)

About me:
Studied in Germany (2017) got every info from this platform too.

Learn to utilize your time by applying the right strategy.
Advice: For those in Data Science/Engineering/Analytic & Software development or any tech space, make sure you start looking for internships as soon as you arrive. Germany NEEDS YOU.

For those who needs SL, it’s also available but one must fit some criteria ( People prefer giving it to females).

I will respond to mentions & PMs ( when I got the chance, also busy with work)

Goodluck!!

If one travel to Togo or Benin, what are we going to be doing there for the 6months? Work, school?
I really want to get this part

Nobody said anything about staying in Togo or Benin for 6 months although some folks do it ( they know what’s at stake). What I was pointing out is having a valid 6-month residency before proceeding to the Embassy.
It means Togo & Benin is now your temporary address.

Sometimes these embassies in neighboring countries go as far as drilling you with questions to make sure you truly reside in the country you are applying from.

It's not easy too there.

Nothing is easy anywhere. What’s is important is the possibility and the time duration. Smart ppl are leaving via these countries. And this includes booking air fares from these countries
