Hey guys, can anyone point out the difference between Redmi note 12 and 12s for me?

I balance read thread looking for some quarrel or where person take drag mod. I no see anything. So why did they lock the thread?

This thread along with the ones I created are the only sane threads on NL. If this thread goes, the phone section dies. You would think that Nairaland and its management would use common sense when addressing issues concerning this thread. Mtcheew.

I did. I mentioned the names of both processors. If you had taken the time and patience to read, you would have clearly seen this.

The RN12 4G is a lower midrange device that should do very fine with apps, games, social media, photography and videography. It also has a nice display and very good battery life.

The RN12S is an upper midrange device that makes it's debut with the Redmi Note 12 series. The key specs include:

The Redmi Note 12 uses the Snapdragon 685 and the Redmi Note 12S uses the Helio G96. In future, here's a shortcut to use.

https://inquisitiveuniverse.com/2022/09/10/top-100-smartphone-socs-in-the-world-2022/

Visit and bookmark this page. I update it every month end. Check the list there and look for the processors you want to compare.

Tip: the higher one is more often than not, the better one.

Hello genius, my Redmi 9T isn't charging, it went off on 60% and hasn't come on again for 4 days now. I gave it to a phone engineer and they opened it, uncliped the battery, plugged a charger and the charging symbol came up.
The engine man clipped the battery back to the panel and plugged the charger again and it didn't charge again.
He suggested we boost the battery but it didn't still show the charging symbol , could it be that my phone battery has issues and needs replacement? Or is my charger faulty a d needs replacement?
How did you eventually solve this issues cause my own is having same problem

Like I said here not quite long, lots of second hand and fairly used phones sold in Nigeria are stolen phones. Lot more are faulty phones the owner wants to do away with the stress. Very few are from genuine owners who wants to upgrade.

Well there are different categories of used phones, but believe you me, if you bring a stolen phone to me for sale, due to my engineering experience and software knowledge, I will surely know. I will ask you some questions and if you can't answer correctly I suspect you instantly.

In some cases, some forget their MI Account password and some will even buy without the seller removing password.

Do you know that most uk phones sef are stolen? Or do you think na for only naija phone theft dey occur? So who are we to blame? And no be everybody get money to buy new phone, fingers are not equal.
Most phone I sell, its either my customer swap with another or you sell to me, I vet the phone ( coz if it's stolen I will surely know) before putting it out for sale.

BUT IN ALL YOU DO, AVOID USED IPHONE YOU ARE NOT SURE ABOUT.
Android can still be bypassed, or web server can even remove any fucking account on Android device even IMEI can be re-written on Android including Xiaomi.

IPHONE CAN SEND YOU TO JAIL OR WRECK YOUR POCKET IF ITS TRACED STOLEN ( you can buy innocently but you will be treated like the thief if caught)

Somebody, please help me, my three months old Redmi 12c keeps shutting down the very moment the back light goes off, then it takes more time to power on each time this happens.

It started today, initially I thought its because of some newly downloaded apps so I uninstalled, but it persisted. No difference even when it's plugged.

Could it be because I have never updated it before, even though system apps updater is showing 18 updates available?
Pls has anyone any idea what the solution is?

First do a force restart by holding your power button for 10 to 15 secs.

Then next update all system apps and your firmware.

Wonderful submission bro. The write-up would have been a perfect 10/10 if you had added tips on how to know if an iPhone is stolen, at the point of purchase, especially by someone who isn't tech-savvy like many of us here.

Difficult to know tho, but if you are buying iphone from someone, ask for the person means of ID or anything that can show that his name correspond with the one on the icloud, ask him to sign out.

He should sign out of every account including itunes if available on the phone. Keep the ID and ask him to write an undertaking, then ask him to wipe the phone ( but ask him if the phone is network unlock or network bypassed. If it's network bypassed and he wipe it, it will lock again and that will be an issues as you will not want to buy again and he won't be happy after going through all that stress, although most iphone users don't know if their phone is network bypassed and the bypass is not working again for iphones unless they use chip).

Although iphone deal is very tricky, some are stolen at gun point and they will be asked to logout of the phone. I have seen a situation whereby a guy stole his friends iphone, he knew his friends icloud password, logout and sold it, it was when the friend track the phone with help of police, they trace it to the person using it, and the person using it bought it from a dealer that the thief sold it to, both the dealer and the new user paid good money to bail themselves. So it's kind of tricky jare. That's all I can say about iphone for now.

The best thing is, whether buying used iPhone in mint condition or new iPhone, buy it from authorized dealers. Make sure you collect your receipt. Check the signpost of the shop or dealer and make sure what is there tallies with what is on the receipt. I don’t usually subscribe to buying devices especially used from individual unless you trust them or know them very well.
Like someone said, majority of those used devices are stolen.

Other stuffs you said about collecting ID card and sighting one remains valid.
