Nigeriagood: Since the 9th of August where he scored an Hatrick, Gift Orban has played 5 games total. He scored in 2 and didn't score in 3 games. Note that this is inclusive of UEFA qualifying games. |

Seems these teams want younger proven options. They will have to pay big time after this season. I believe Orban will excel. Money dem must cough. Amedino99: |

Exclusive – 2023 AFCONQ: Peseiro In Charge, Invites 24 Players To Camp For Sao Tome Clash 16 August 27, 2023 11:49 pm Exclusive – 2023 AFCONQ: Peseiro In Charge, Invites 24 Players To Camp For Sao Tome Clash Indications that Jose Peseiro will be on the bench when the Super Eagles tackle their Sao Tome counterparts in an Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom capital have emerged with confirmation that the Portuguese-born coach has submitted a squad list to the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Completesports.com reports. An official source at the Dankaro Football House secretariat of the NFF told Completesports.com in an exclusive chat on condition of anonymity that Peseiro will take charge of the Super Eagles in Uyo while he is still negotiating a new contract. Peseiro’s contract expired in July 2023 and he is currently discussing a new contract with the NFF. The Nigeria football governing body wants him to take a pay cut to continue as coach. “I can confirm that Peseiro is still our national coach and will be in charge of the Super Eagles against Sao Tome on September 9 in Uyo,” the source told Completesports.com “He has submitted a list of players for the game in line with FIFA’s regulation that the invite must reach the respective clubs of the players at least 15 days before the game. “He couldn’t have picked the players if he won’t be in charge of the team. He has also spoken to the players and the majority of them have confirmed their availability for the match. “The coach is happy coaching the Super Eagles and I am optimistic he would accept the pay cut to lead the Nigerian team to AFCON next January.” “All these talks about sacking Peseiro and his being replaced by Eguavoen, Finidi or Salisu are not true. The NFF and Peseiro are still negotiating and I am very sure they will reach an agreement soon. “Nigerians should ignore all the rumours regarding who will handle the Super Eagles because Peseiro wants to continue,” our impeccable source disclosed. Meanwhile, the Super Eagles camp will open at the Godswill Akpabio International stadium in Uyo the Akwa Ibom state capital on September 4 for the match against Sao Tome and Principe on September 9. |

The standard we gave Orban on this thread is frightening We all expect him to score at least 1 goal a match. 3 Likes |

Starboytwo: We didn't give him any standard and no one is expecting he scores every game. However, the rave he's riding on and the hype that Gent hoping they use to cash out on him is literally is Goal per game record which is 1:1. So if by any chance he doesn't leave this summer's he'll need to match the record or at least put up numbers close to that for Gent to leverage on. That's the argument |

elyte89:Like me sound like sir K, Brighton are very intentional about their recruitment, their recruitment has been to get extremely talented relatively unknown players eg. Mitoma, Caicedo, McAllister, Ferguson and accomplished veterans like Milner, Lallana, Welbeck; am not sure he meets any of those criteria. Do you know that the owners of Brighton also own USG, Boniface's former team? They spotted his talent early!! Mitomo also came from USG. 2 Likes |
