Agreement was reached to pay all promotion and arears for UBE this month after submitting the total number of people promoted to the governor.Why are they now setting up a committee for promotion.This must be an idea of the board chairman to delay the payment.

Base on what I deduced from that write up the committee is set up to sort out the letters and give Akah for signing which commence tomorrow and end second week of September,,,,so it has nothing to do with payment rather the letters that will be given to us at the resumption of school by second week of September should be signed by Akah. Let us clearly read with understanding.

The only understanding I need to understand right now is August salary alert, whether old or new. Las las......every other things will fall in place whenever they've finished their bureaucratic processes that never comes to an end. Nkemjika.....

That is why a whole lot of you have heartaches because you have refused to see things realistically. Am sure some of you must have gone to ask for the prices of cars in anticipation of the new salary. I will come back here and get a very good laugh 😅 as you guys will be so disappointed. exactly,but English too hard for some of us. According to the letters that will be issued, we've been promoted since months ago but the letters have been delayed to reach us. What the govt will be doing is just to IMPLEMENT this promotion whose letters to us has been delayed

The date was never the bone of contention. Your reference to cucumber and onion and return back to Egypt was why I responded to you. Dates or no dates, we must hold our promotion letter before we get your new salary and not the other way round. Arrears will be paid monthly

Past Gov. Wike deliberately committed irredeemable damage to the entire civil service of Rivers state. It seems, teachers might be the worst hit at the end of the day. I can't stress this point enough. Wike was extraordinarily wicked to us. The consequences of the wickedness is coming to fore now. For a whole 8 years RSSSSB has only 1 substantive board. As the board was dissolved till date, it has been one acting board chairman from the order without a fully constituted board. Where in the world do you love education and run the all important sector in ad hoc way and manner? We have a long way to go. PDP members here, how market na?*

The dates will determine if u will be owed arrears or paid from this month or from the date of issuance of these letters. We experienced same with our appointment letters. That letter did not carry the date we started getting our pay, neither was it issued upon payment. Just my thoughts.

All the people saying they can't pay promotion letter, have you forgotten that there was promotion sometime for old teachers and promotion letters was given yet, till today, the promotion was not paid. So what do you say about that?
To me, with or without promotion letters, our new salary will be paid.
For me, I will receive my new salary this month in Jesus Name.

About The Issue of Promotion Letters and Implementation:
If the government and the various boards are sincere about this promotion and quick implementation, they will release the promotion results which is like a master list and with that it will use for implementation and each person in the list will photocopy and be using it pending the letters will be issued. This is not new, the older teachers have such promotion results/list in the past before letters are issued later. With that promotion results/list, payment could be implemented and you can present the copy of that list anywhere as your promotion in place of promotion and it will be honoured.

What stopped the board from releasing the promotion results/list to the various LGA offices?
