I traveled to Togo against my parents wish in the year 2021 for a greener pasture I left behind my 3 years old daughter with my parents , although the reality I have seen in Togo was not as expected, but I was at least working and sending something home to my parents.

Communication was less because I couldn't afford to calls more often. I returned back home this august the 7th and my daughter was nowhere to be found.

My parents first lied to me that she was with my mum's sister that they will send someone to pick her up but to no avail. So myself I went to my mum sister house and my daughter wasn't there and she doesn't know where she was.

I asked my parents over and over again all I could get is insults from my dad , he is angry whenever i bring the subject and my siblings are not cooperating and they've refusing to tell me the truth.

I am sick and tired of asking and no getting any answers I am trying to be calm to avoid disrespecting my parents but I am loosing patience.

So many things is going throught my head I will have no option but to take things into my own hands and hurt my dad the outcome may be deadly ,

Please no insult how do I handle the situation without disrespecting my parents or do you think I should take the matter to the police ?
Hope she isn't dead...cos no parent would do that. Except the couldn't cater for her again and gave her off or she was sick and they couldn't afford medical bill and she died

Maybe they used your child for ritual.
Involve the police if you are a serious mother.
In this case, you must be ready to disrespect anyone and everyone because this your child we are talking about!

Dad and mum will start singing like a canary.
But please, don't lay hands on your parents.
Against her father and siblings? What will she tell the police? Why did she left the kid as young as three years and go, she will make the case worst

Greener pasture in Togo, the handwriting is clear on the wall. Imagine asking for a child she abandoned like she really cares. If she had found gold there and move on from Lome to Rome or Paris,I am sure she would
have moved on with her life till her old age when it will dawn on her she has a child somewhere.
decatalyst:
Hmmm...seems you are irresponsible and simply want to free yourself of the little girl at age 3...you travelled and abandoned her.

However, they owe you accountability. They need to show you the child you abandoned, dead or alive. They owe you that.

I would suggest you calm down, meet the most respected man/woman in your extended family, to come into the situation.

If this doesn't work out as expected, you can get them arrested.

Note: I hope you have concrete evidence that you 'abandoned' your child with them. Otherwise, they can turn the table and have you rot in jail for false accusations.

For a child she abandoned? If I'm her father I will teach her a lesson of her life if she involved any other person

Answer these few questions madam:
1: How long did you stay in togo as to the current age of the baby
2: was it out of wedlock? If no, were is the father?
3: what's your position in the family and your relationship with your parents before you ran away from home, first, or last child?
4: Did you know the family of the irresponsible man that impregnated you or just a roadside love

With the above I can step in to assist you on no charges

Your parents owe you the whereabouts of your daughter. You gave birth to that child, and left her under their care, so regardless of whether you're responsible enough to cater for her or not, they owe you her whereabouts.

I'll suggest that you sit them down and ask them one last time. If they try to shut you down, tell them that you'll involve the police and other human rights groups.

This isn't money you gave them to keep, we're talking about a human being here. How can a human being just disappear and you feel keeping shut is the best approach because they're your parents. My dear take action and take it now. If she's dead let them show you where they buried her.
Before you spit trash you think, she abandoned that child against her parents wish, they ask her not to travel in fact they are against her leaving the child to travel

if she goes that route her relationship with her parents will never be the same again and you know How sentimental we are as Africans whenever it comes to family related issues

All your counsins, aunties, nephews etc will look at you as a bad person that if she can do that to her own parents, they're not safe when they have issues.everyone will start avoiding her in the family

A more diplomatic solution is that she should go and meet with the olori Ebi aka family head and talk to him to talk to your parents.if there are no changes, then she can threaten her parents to involve the police (but she should get ready for messy drama and to spend money on police case)

Above all she should employ the holy spirit to expose whatever is hidden

from your monica, you are a female.

question 1. Where is the father of this your daughter ?

question 2. Whose custody did you place your daughter before leaving for Togo ?

Question 2. Since you were in Togo, when was the last time you spoke to your daughter either phone, whatspp, facebook or any other means ?

How did she abandon her? Didn't you read the part that said she was sending something home every month? She didn't abandon her daughter; her parents owe her every explanation.

And I'll agree with your thoughts on the matter. If there was an accident and the child's no more, they should at least have the sense to let the mother know (they should've even called her when the unfortunate incident happened in the first place, unless their hand no clean on the matter), not this nonsense of lambasting her just for asking for her child. Imagine, pesin wey dey even manage send small small tin for dem... smh
