There is no missing 3yr old in the article, the child being asked after by her wayward mother would definitely be a 5yr old now.

The parents and her siblings are playing the card well. Stress the shameless absentee mother well and see what her breaking point would be.

Her expectation is to return like the biblical prodigal son and have feast thrown on her behalf with her daughter she didn't bother to care for robed in colourful dress. That's the grand delusion .

What if she asks and her parents keep giving flimsy excuses of not being with her daughter at that moment? Is that the bone of contention right now? A child is missing, focus on that.

Tell them you'll call the police if there's no response and see what they'll say. If they still didn't say anything call the police.

Don't immediately get the police involved. Just tell them that you will involve the police if they do not tell you about your daughter in 24 hours. If they don't tell you by then, then you can involve the police.

However, they owe you accountability. They need to show you the child you abandoned, dead or alive. They owe you that.

I would suggest you calm down, meet the most respected man/woman in your extended family, to come into the situation.

If this doesn't work out as expected, you can get them arrested.

Note: I hope you have concrete evidence that you 'abandoned' your child with them. Otherwise, they can turn the table and have you rot in jail for false accusations.

This is a very unfair thing to say, did you even read her story? She left her kid with her parents and you're saying she abandoned the girl and you're calling her irresponsible, that's not fair.

Whether a child was abandoned or not, it is still a life and answers need be provided. Sadly, consent of even an irresponsible parent is necessary before a family member can do anything to or with such a child.

I just went back to the story to see that he was even sending money to cater for the upkeep of this abandoned child , wow, never know it was possible to cater for a child while you have already abandoned him, we learn everyday. Thanks

The truth is not hidden They are scared stiff of how she will take the news. She may go again and never come back . That will wreck her already devastated father. Her father is already grieving and don't want to lose his daughter again. Counselling can help all of them especially OP.
She should calm down and let them see she has improved in her mental health
