This is what we call kanni in Yoruba land. It is very sweet when you make it with Efo-riro (fresh vegetable. It would be dried before making it for soup. 2 Likes |

ahnie: So I often take exception to odon been called "edible worm". They aren't worms. They are the larvae of the palm tree beetle. These "creepers" are also most likely pupa or larvae of some insect. So for me they aren't different. I ko sure say I fit chop these "creepers" as you call them. It's social and cultural conditioning that makes us eat what we eat. 2 Likes |

It is called Ikan in Yoruba. It is eating dried. During my visit to osun and kwara state. I have eating it. It was prepared with vegetable elegusi. Kinda like it. But can't find it in lagos. 2 Likes |
