This has always be parts of the problem with the black race.

We enjoy bastardizing and abusing policies and programs meant for the good of all. Some folks see destroying the system for their selfish interest as grace or blessing.

And they will shift to blame to religion.

Where is SureP or fadama? The black race is the cause of our predicament.

Same old story with agricultural loans in Nigeria. Most farmers think it is FREE MONEY.(That's why big banks like First Bank and GT bank and co don't hand out loans for farmers, even with sure collateral)

Plus agric is a high risk business. Prices can drop, prices can fall, nothing can be done.

Lol NiSRAL left the group chat doz one sell Agric Loan to people....

While the beneficiaries too didn't use the money for the real agriculture....

Dealing with Nigerians no be easy thing some will just be looking for loopholes in every policies this Technology age don even increase the loopholes instead of helping the case the worsen....

Giving Nigerians Loan and Paying back na one hard thing that's why you even see the Loan app going overboard cause the people collecting it after reading dere terms and conditions will still dare them to do dere worst..

Don't know if they were on the scheme, but I doubt.

One Nigerian journalist once told a story of a rich Nigerian who wanted to help two of his relatives set up a polutry business. He approached a bank for a N2 million loan. As collateral he presented two bank accounts with the same bank of N10 m each, and a car also worth millions. He had also taken a loan worth millions from said bank and paid it back on time in full.

He got rejected. The bank manager apologetically told him that they had orders from their HQ...No agricultural loans.(lol).

What of those who married more wives , serviced side hens, and spray money at parties as if it grows on trees.
What a melancholy, what a waste stricken mentality.

anchor borrower scheme was a scam

Great s.cam. I served in CBN when things were still 1% ok with Nigeria, closed to 30 years ago and I saw, ‘first-handely’ how the AGRIC DEPARTMENT of CBN branches nationwide massacre all agric-intervention funds.

They even used youth corp members names and accounts as front to get monies meant for farmers.
They connived (and still connive) with a lot genuine farmers out there and take the moneys out, giving those farmers peanuts.

I know after 30 years, things would have gone south in CBN.

Tinubu, so pe o ti lo.

Stockholm Syndrome still dey worry this resident doctor of Nairaland tribalism hospital!

Money that Buhari shared to northerners for his second term in 2019.
I recall submitting a business plan for the loan and I never got, a fellow trader from Niger Republic got the loan by just submitting a form which was given to them in the Mosque, he got N10m and relocated to Niger Republic, never planted any rice.

Then the others who got the money presented pictures from Jigawa and Kebbi states of flooded rice farms and claimed that they lost all their investment and declared 'Force Majeure' with the help of insiders in NIRSAL and CBN who collected money and entered their names as farmers affected by flood.

Many northerners are used to free govt funds under various failed schemes and that's why this Govt is pinching harder over here across the North, meanwhile tribalistic youths like the OP in the South come to Nairaland to insult their parents and even supported Buhari for 8 years and still defending him with the quoted comment above while over here in the North Buhari was busy sharing money anyhow and siting projects all over even to Niger Republic.

Emefiele can't say NO to Buhari's orders and its disingenuous of you Tinubus supporters to be mentioning him as a crook and totally overlooking Buhari his boss with various idiosyncratic excuses
You didn't get the loan because you didn't deserve it. You were obviously not qualified. Head to your bank

Good move.
Buhari and his people really messed up this country, so many uncoordinated policies and programmes.

Shortly after the end of Covid restrictions, my colleague (who has japaed to Canada) brought a Federal Government loan initiative to our office (I won't disclose the name of the Government programme) we all applied and got the loan. According to the terms of the loan, we were supposed to commence repayment after 3 months of disbursement. 3 months passed, nobody texted or called anyone to remind us of our government loans repayment, one year passed, two years passed, nobody asked us to pay back what we "borrowed" we forgot about the loan. Obviously, it's was free money afterall.

na you they think they forgot
government is still coming for you

I applied for AG-SMIES NIRSAL Agric loan paid a whooping sum of #10k for the 3 day seminar plus transport. At the end none of the 140 of us that participated got the loan. We completed every available task that will ensure that we get the loan. We wrote business plan which was turned down and instead referred to some individuals to write in our stead for #5k. We were real. If the govt had considered us by now we would have lifted some people out of poverty with job offers. None of us secured the loan, i know that because we formed a whats app group to be communicating every development. All of us that participated were jos resident. We were only awarded a certificate by SMEDAN at a cost of #500. I had a wonderful plan to start a livestock feed production business. All we kept hearing is the news of some non deserving individual that got the loan that did not participate in the seminar. It is rather unfortunate that our government does give do proper monitoring and supervision to ensure that such packages get to the right people. I pray they will be able to recover all monies that are in wrong hand to recycle back. Perhaps this administration will do differently so that some of us that are serious will be able to access such loans.

The one TIfnubu and federal government have been looting have they recovered it?
FreeStuffsNG:
I believe that Mr Emefiele and President Buhari meant well with this program but unpatriotic corrupt elements want to frustrate it. FG must not relent until they collect back every kobo so that the fund can be recycled.

This is one reason to be wary of those who blame govt for every problem, they litter the social media, such people are scoffers and when they have opportunity to do better than the govt officials they criticize, they do far worse!

I am fully in support of you Mr President. God bless you sir. God bless Nigeria for ever!
All the enemies of Nigeria will lose las las. They always lose!

Majority of beneficiaries were northerners, former president and the former CBN governor were just trying to outsmart each other in endemic grand larceny because of stock from crude oil from the niger delta for a flow in the sahel and blocking every form of true federalism.

One of my friend who collected millions from this program was urging me to also collect the loan he was very confident that it's a free money from the buhari's govt but I refused I told him that a new govt can always track down all those that collected the loan i have finally been proven right.
