We have Luke Shaw who is a good deputy for Martinez. We didn't get a new CB because Maguire didn't leave. If he had left, we would have ended yesterday's game with the new CB and Evans, assuming everything played out as it did. Or lindelof and Evans

Do you by chance know why ETH did not prioritize one CM and at least one CB during the transfer window? Instead of buying Mount.

fresh legs not introduced in the middle is exactly why we lost. the substitutions delayed to 88 mins was bad enough. even at 1-2, AWB for Gore and Hannibal for Eriksen is not wild. again at this stage, what's the worst that can happen? we can afford to throw men forward; including Casemiro, Maguire and Evans to contest for the ball on those long freekicks and still have faster guys like Garnacho, Dalot, Hannibal and Gore behind. if we don't equalise, then we can cover possible counters better just by sheer pace and new energy, including guys who can take a yellow for the team as a last ditch measure.

Really painful to concede goals starting from the 96th minute. Infact, extra time should have been a time for gidigbo and gbasgbos football to salvage a point. ETH is not flexible at alllll.
