Export1:None of the above in this case, if true then the highways will be filled with cars with issues. This is simply Ford being Ford. |

CityNG:I had chosen to ignore you but just can't overlook the level of your childishness. Grow up and try avoiding bickering. Always looking for an axe to grind. Emotions ke? A huge joke! Growing old without growing up is not cool. Show some level of maturity and stop showing yourself; nobody cares. PS: (I hope to be surprised) |

Kashif:Surprise me with one on topic and non emotional response from you. Try to write a valid rebuttal that shows why anyone should have to read a manual to drive a modern car. Drive, not maintain. Even if your life depended on it you cannot bring yourself to ignore CityNG ![]() CityNG - an unruly element, a catalyst, that agitates and/or pacificates as needed. |

I have no idea how things went from dual clutch manual reading to I know you do't know. None of us knows we all learning Ford is always the first to bring high end tech to low end cars like sync and mft Now even the Fusion has blind spot warning, self parking and a 2.3T engine with over 300 ponies your regular joe will find those things pesky. |

A 5 month old car should not need a transmission service. OP be careful about an advice to service your transmission unless you do it at the selling dealer for protection. How far on the legal front? |

@ CityNG . He that does not read is not different from he who cannot read (an illiterate). If the op had read the car manual, he would have been acquainted with the workings of the vehicle and he wouldn't have exposed his ignorance about the car. This is the 21st century, where everything is dependent on knowledge, I don't see why we should continue to promote mental indolence. You should read all manuals, whether it is the one that came with your phone, laptop, blender, car or any other appliances. It was produced for a reason, it is not just a mere paper attachment. |

Mrcharming:I continue to disagree. OP, especially in these 21st century, shouldn't have to read a manual on how to drive an automatic vehicle. Again, it's my opinion that this is Ford just being Ford. Now that been said, should folks read product manuals? Yes of course but it shouldn't be a requirement for operating a motor vehicle.. |

I need your assistance, dear brother. I'm facing a problem with my Ford Focus 2012, which is just under 5 months old. It began displaying the same warning, and I'm struggling to comprehend it fully. The complication is compounded by the fact that I purchased it through auctionexport.com in the USA, and I'm currently in Nigeria, far from any dealership support. On occasion, when the car indicates an overheating issue with the message "Overheat, wait 10 minutes," I follow the instructions diligently. However, there are times when I disregard the warning and continue driving, especially when stuck in traffic. About 1-2 months after the first overheating warning, I drove to a mall in Abuja without any such indication. However, upon returning to my car and starting it after a brief 10-minute stop, the transmission suddenly malfunctioned, causing significant damage to both the gear and the body of the gear. I had to take the car to a mechanic and had to purchase a direct Belgium (second-hand) transmission to replace the damaged one. This endeavor cost me a substantial amount, including the cost of the transmission, repairs, and installation. Unfortunately, less than a month after installing the Belgium (second-hand) transmission, the same issue resurfaced. As I speak to you now, the transmission is not functioning properly. It struggles to engage gears, and even when it does, it fails to move smoothly and doesn't shift correctly. The transmission specialist suggests that the issue is with the Transmission Control Module (TCM) and recommends replacing it to resolve the problem. Due to these recurring issues, I've had to park the vehicle to prevent any further damage or accidents. Some individuals have advised me to convert the car to a manual transmission. I'm feeling utterly perplexed and distressed by this situation, as I have yet to fully enjoy my car. I'm reaching out to you for urgent assistance. Based on your knowledge and expertise, what steps should I take to restore the functionality of my car? Your help is greatly appreciated, and I value your insights. Please, I implore you, to guide me on the best course of action to rectify this issue and enjoy my vehicle once again. I'm in desperate need of assistance. Thank you! --------------------------------------------------------------- CosFordService: |

Run scan on ur vehicle to confirm if there is restrictions in gear box pressure lines, because when there is restrictions... Overheating is abound to occur. If there is, then tell ur mechanic to flush the gear box , after which new oil must be usec... I believe with these explanations the issue is likely to be resolved. Good luvk |
