Guys where's Victor Boniface from? like his tribe. I was doing some research about him and found out he was born in Ondo state but his last name "Okoh" doesn't sound Yoruba

They were released from Everton academy.

They attended a boarding school in the Wirral, Merseyside and played for the school team.

I did volunteer coaching for the school team that beat them I'm talking about 10 years ago or more.

To put it simply they were not exceptional.

For your children to inherit from the Father, those children must spend a lot of time with the Father and in some regards be inseperable. Abedi Pele did it with his sons.

You can't leave your children in a school somewhere and think somehow they will become footballers without your every day input, No way, sorry 😒 to say .
Yes you right and footballing should be for talented ones not forcing a kid who lacks the natural basic skills.

I remember telling my friend Emma Olisadebe basic truth that what are you doing in the university with this talent cuz it was obvious the guy was damn too good and within two years Emma took Poland to World Cup,nominated for Ballon d’or.

If Emma took to the game very early he would have been one of the best in the world like going to academy but already a university student before realizing he can do it and it was even persuasion from Fanny Amu and Amusa Adisa who handled Nigeria football team to World universities games.

Fanny Amu was like what! a university student without club benched NPFL leading goal scorer Edith Agoye then university of Ibadan student but playing for 3sc in WUGA camp, both were later paired in the games.

I think talent does it.

Sir,yes he was born in Ondo just like ex super eagles defender Oboboana who was born and raised in Ondo.

Okay imagine Boniface and Oboboana speaking Ondo dialect than Aribo who is from Ondo state, that’s the beauty of migration.

Yeah, he was born in Ondo. But with the name Okoh does it mean he has Efik/ Ibibio blood too?

Tammy vs Osimehn comparison was not useless then, one was in Chelsea while one in Lille but Osimehn performance in Napoli settled the debate and nobody will come here and tell us Tammy is better.

Iheanacho vs Mbappe,I don’t have anything to say cuz then it was glaring Mbappe was ahead and he consolidated it with his performances but Iheanacho failed to prove those making such comparisons right.
Nacho was playing for Man City while Mbappe was playing for Monaco

Same to me

I think talent does it.

I would disagree with you or maybe we have different way of looking at it.

There is natural talent yes, like blistering speed.

But all talent needs to be developed and continuously to reach excellence.

However, the main topic was footballers children and inheritance of skill, talent and ability by ASSOCIATION.

Children learn by association and association with parents is great influence. So if you are Father and you don't spend a lot of time with your children they will receive little or nothing from you.

A former Nigerian international came to the UK with his children. Came to see me. I took his kids out to play football it was suggested they could get into a EPL academy but after the session they were FAR OFF THE MARK. Meanwhile multiple EPL clubs were prepared to give them a trial on the just the name of their Father.

It was obvious the Father had not spent much time with his boy and it showed.

I know several children who are in top Academies but are not good but are left their to please the parents.

And some footballers parents spend a huge amount of time with their kids. Last year I met Marcelo his son plays for Real Madrid his Dad was with him even at age 14 to advise and encourage.

Sir,can you name players who took after their Father starting from Nigeria national team right from immemorial.

Sir,no matter how you are closer to your footballing father if you don’t have the basic talent,no way.

Aswear this Komekn don't know anything about football from talent, stat, tactics etc.

You actually think football is more of an acquired skill than innate talent? How many footballers do their sons or daughters turn out to be good footballers too? So all these footballers, especially from Africa who never had the support of their parents, how did they do it?

Football wise, Amokachi gave his sons everything, yet they failed. Osimhen's dad never gave him anything but see where he is today, yet you think making it in football is about spending time with your dad?

This boy, where you from sef? 🤔

it takes more than innate talent and skills to make it as a footballer

Discipline, hard work and determination also hv to be added to excel as a young footballer with a lil sprinkle of luck

A lot of talent young player who showed promise earlier didn’t really mk it in men’s football due to the lack of the 3 above mentioned attributes

Some also that managed to mk it fell off before they reached their peak

You are missing the point which is that you can't make it if you ain't talented. Those other variables you mentioned are secondary and they can't make you a good footballer if you don't have the talent already. Children of most footballers don't have talents but they are disciplined, taught how to work hard and be determined, but yet they fail at th end.

Most footballers from South America and Europe make it with only innate talent without discipline, hard enough work and determination, even though they don't last long on the scene.

Do you know as disciplined, hard working and determined as Justin Kluivert can be, he doesn't have what it takes to reach the height Baloteli attained
