You really don't know how the US drug market works. Those friends giving her the Marijuana will be tracked by drug dealers and recruited to make them groom her into using drugs, since she will be seen as someone that can obviously afford them. Even if she does Marijuana, as an important personality, she's not supposed to be seen doing it publicly.

One is a highly paid nurse in the US, the other an accountant in the UK and the last has problems with his wife the UK.
