Prefer the two Victors first off for 1st half then Awo & Orban to come in the second half. KC could feature in the Iwobi or even Ndidi sef. Would have liked Jordan and Bassey to start together but I think they are both left footed. Each fullback to play one half each.

Shame they couldn't arrange a friendly match this period... It would have been a good opportunity to properly assess what Orban and Boniface can bring to the team.. I hope Peseiro will give them quality game time on Sunday

The match against Guinea Bissau showed him that 4-4-2 is not appropriate for the team. That was why he started Aribo against Sierra Leone! With Iwobi out, I don't see him play 442.
Danielnino00:

Isnt it 4-4-2 the coach will eventually play?
Is iheanacho the team's creator?

Stop reading Fisayo articles. Those Nigerian journalists are quackss! We have a match on Sunday so when do you want them to play a friendly! Had it been our match was yesterday we could have played a friendly on Monday/Tuesday!

If Toru doesn't start, he needs to come on for at least 30 minutes. He is one player I'm looking forward to watch in this upcoming match. Our defence is kinda light quality-wise, we don't just know. And Bassey should face his LB position.

BTW, I wonder what must be going on in the mind of Sao Tome's coach. Boniface, Osimehn, Awoniyi and Orban against his team is something that is scary. I wish I can say the same about our Midfield and defence.

Having a game on Sunday doesn't mean anything.. if the NFF want to organize a friendly, they would.....

Toru’s dad Ojokojo interviewed

https:///oganlamedia/status/1700218548256149773?s=46
Ojokojo nearly messed up his son’s career for telling him to shun Nigeria for Germany.

Well, not surprised by his initial attitude cuz he was a very indisciplined player in his days in Ibadan and if am right he was one of four 3sc players that absconded in Italy en route Egypt.

This interview not surprised seeing him speaking in Yoruba fluently. He lived his life in Ibadan and married Ibadan woman though from Bayelsa.

CC:BascoVanVeli

Pls can you get me info on 3sc players that absconded in early 90s.

Eagles training match that ended 1-1 saw Osimehn/Awoniyi paired and Boniface/Orban paired with Awoniyi later exchanged side with Boniface which saw Osimehn/Boniface paired, meaning likely to see Osimehn/Awoniyi or Boniface.

Awoniyi scored for green side and Chuckwueze scored for red side.

“I Will Be Free From FIFA Ban In 2024 - Siasia

"I thought I was going to be free by this year (2023), and I was so excited. But I had to look through the document that FIFA served me, and I found out that it was going to be next year. By next year, in August 2024, I will be free from the FIFA ban, and hopefully I will be back to football.

"Irrespective of what happened, I have learned my lessons, but FIFA, who initially gave me a life ban in football, could not prove anything wrong with what they claimed I did. But they had to reduce it to a five-year ban, and it will expire next year. I thank God for that.

I was privileged to pass this stadium on my last visit to Uyo earlier this year.

Mehn, I had to tell my Keke man to drop me so I could walk past the edifice on foot grin.

The grandeur, magnificence and elegance of the stadium even from the outside alone was breath-taking. With Its giant exterior gleaming in the sun.

Wallahi, TV Cameras do not do justice to this beauty.

It is really a national treasure. A worthy temple to the beautiful game. I just hope the state government continues to give it the maintenance it deserves.

Kudos to Akpabio.

It's been 9 years since the stadium was completed and I dare say very few government asset has seen the level of maintenance the Stadium has enjoyed. I'm particularly impressed that varying political affiliations of Akpabio and Udom didn't affect this. For a country that has problem with maintenance, what we should do is find out how they made this possible and simply replicate the same thing. I haven't confirmed this, but I think I heard maintenance of the stadium over a period of time was included in the terms given to the contractors.

In my opinion, any attempt to refurbish the National Stadium in Lagos is a corruption scheme. The best course of action is to pull it down and build a new stadium from the ground up. Something as good as the Uyo Stadium, and same template of maintenance should be followed.

The reason why we did not qualify for the olympics and the home based CAN was because Siasia was not around
He does well at youth level and is one of the few Nigerian coaches i really trust.
Our football badly needed Siasia
He also nows how to get the best of our home based and youth players and integrate them into the national team.

I disagree with the bolded.

The reason we did not qualify for the olympics and CHAN is cause the NFF keeps rewarding incompetence. No doubt Siasia is one of the coaches who have proven themselves at the youth level but we have coaches here who will replicate same results if given the chance. Fidelis Ilechukwu for instance plays some of the best football I've seen on the local scene and he did quite well with Plateau United, but he's never been given a chance. There are a few more like that who sadly wouldn't get the chance. This isn't even limited to the local scene. The current US u-19 coach Michael Nsien once applied to coach the age grade team and wasn't even considered.

Yes we need him like others but NFF has been the issue with our coaches, poor incentives and unpaid salaries.

Who is the better footballer, Abedi Ayew Pele or his two sons, Jordan and Andre? Or should we add their uncle to the mix too, Kwame Ayew, na real footballing family.

Hoping to see what next the Uche family has to offer us, already provided Kalu and IK those I consider one of the best set of siblings to play for us. Notable mentions are Emmanuel and Patrick Okala, Emma and Austin Okocha, Segun and Wole Odegbami. I wasn't impressed with Azu Oliseh, Ogbonna Kanu, Kelvin Amunike, the Sodje Brothers.

MODIFIED
I failed to mention the Babayaro Brothers, Celestine and Emma, the Kpakor Brothers, Austin Eguavoen and Monday Eguavoen, then Mikel and his less popular goalie brother, Wilson Oruma and his brothers too
Ogbonna Kanu and Azubuike Oliseh. Kai those guys were watery players. Sydney 2000 Olympics team
