Good one from Akwa Ibom state governor but it seems Ekong is from Akwa Ibom cuz the visit really celebrate him more apart from being a captain.
Yes Ekong is from akwa ibom state. Kudos to the state governor, he disclosed on his social media page that he already bought match tickets for interested fans. Which means gate pass will be free.

I was privileged to pass this stadium on my last visit to Uyo earlier this year.

Mehn, I had to tell my Keke man to drop me so I could walk past the edifice on foot grin.

The grandeur, magnificence and elegance of the stadium even from the outside alone was breath-taking. With Its giant exterior gleaming in the sun.

Wallahi, TV Cameras do not do justice to this beauty.

It is really a national treasure. A worthy temple to the beautiful game. I just hope the state government continues to give it the maintenance it deserves.

Kudos to Akpabio.
the company that built the stadium signed a 10 years maintenance contract with the state government.

Born and bred in Germany, jordan Torunarigha (26) is set to make his super eagles debut. He represented Germany in age-grade football (summer Olympics) in Tokyo Japan.

He recently decided to represent the Super Eagles because of his love for Nigeria.

I don't know if this his qoute is correct. Takum is my local government and it's not in Benue state even though there is a Tiv community in Takum that sometimes mount Benue state signpost which has often caused fight between the TIV and Jukuns as regard land ownership between Taraba and Benue state. It will be great to know he is from Takum nevertheless

I just wish that he’s decision will spur Udu and atubolu to switch to us

Udu seem likely but Atubolu will be difficult

Another jpes and nff just sound out is Felix Nmecha of Dortmund

I watched excepts of the interview. Looks like someone who spent 70% of his time in Togo and Benin because his spoken english seems forced.

All the same a positive addition to the same team.

The quote is a bit wrong as the writer needed traffic. I have seen the video, and the boy never said Takum, but Taraku. Taraku is a village in Gwer East Local Government of Benue State.

The Odegbami Brothers, Okala Brothers, Sodje Brothers too tried I will say on their individual merits. I think Amunike's brother too played but he was vrap too. Emma Babayaro should have been good to compliment his younger brother Cele but life happened to him.

On the contrary, you are the one that's a joke. You want them to call players that will later go and play in Malta, Lithuania, and Hungary when we have AFCON in 4 months time?. Players that couldn't qualify for ordinary CHAN? The way we reason in this country is definitely different from other normal people.

Divine Nwachukwu (The Bendel insurance midfielder) should please
not run away to latvia. He seems a good player and has received a call up of late
He should wait until the next chan and then go to belgium or holland where he can build a good career in Europe
With a good coach the homebased should qualify and do well in CHAN.
NFF should wade into the matter and monitor the way our npfl and even academy players run to obscure leagues.
it is getting horrible. Their career should be monitored as they are part of Nigerian football.
it is better to win chan champions league with Enyimba and if you must leave go to lens fc of France
when you are 24 than go to obscurity in malta or latvia.
unfortunatelly Nff is not organized and is corrupt and so everything is in shambles.
NFF should put their house in order.
the new president seems committed i hope.
There are also some private clubs doing well but
A LOT HAS TO CHANGE iN OUR FOOTBALL.
THERE iS AN ADMiNiSTRATiVE PROBLEM THAT iS THE ROOT OF THE MATTER
CALLiNG HOME BASED PLAYERS TO CAMP iS LiKE CUTTiNG OFF THE BRANCHES
WiTHOUT ATTACKiNG THE ROOT.
