Who did this to us in Nigeria. Why are the DISCOs always allowing the power outages, why do they always cut the power at the slightest indication of rainfall and it takes several hours or days before they restore the power, it's just because they know that either they supply the power or not their income or salary won't be affected. The DISCOs as bodies even make more money when they fail to supply power to the people because they know that alot of their customers are still using the estimated billing system which is not based on actual power consumed. The solution to all these nonsense is for the authorities concerned to make sure every household consuming electricity is compulsorily provided with prepaid electricity meter. Let this era of work or no work salary go come end. Until this is done in Nigeria power outages will remain. |

Stop playing please. This is wuruwuru to the answer like we used to say in the days. You don't need to report power disruptions. It's not the citizens job. You don't even need to go around cutting cables of defaulters. Fellow developing countries are already able to monitor each individual's usage and payment. If you don't pay, your light simply goes off. They know that few people will download and have access to this so called app that they'll use millions to create. Yet fewer people will report outages because it's pointless. Then they'll tell us that only 2000 people reported outages in 4th quarter 2024 compared to 2nd quarter 2023. All these statistics scope that they use for GDP and co to deceive everybody. It seems that the power sector is not ready yet if this is their next step. 3 Likes |
