I'm seeing a lot of friendlies being played all over the world including our top African teams and no Nigeria. I'm so ashamed of the NFF right now.
Thank you for this

For your mind cheesy

Did you watch the Ivory Coast vs Lesotho game over the weekend? grin
I'm not sure it really matters that much. Ghana once laboured to beat Sao tome 1-0 and 3-1 but we know the story when we landed on them. And besides under rohr whose goal limit was 4, we beat them 4-2 and 3-0. Now imagine what a Jpes team will do to them.

playing in a bigger league follow abeg, the quality of a player is determined by the clubs he plays against and also the league as well

Akin is doing well at inter and after just few months of joining inter he was called up to the first team and made the bench towards the tail end of the season. The clamor for his invitiation to the national team is because of the promise he has shown so far in Italy after just less than a year of moving to inter Milan from Nigeria

If u like play for Spanish 2nd tier or relegation threatened team ur stats no matter 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Marjori,my discussion here always centering on learning and getting info..I gave you two examples of Germany and South Africa that played on 9th and today 12th but we played on 10th so what stopped us from playing tomorrow which is 13th.

13th is closer to Friday (wc d clubs might b having a match ) , so it will b unwise hosting a friendly match …players sef no b machine na , dem go need rest b4 joining deir clubs

Icon4s analogy was telling us to take every match serious and not to underrate any team….

if osimhen happen to be flanked by prime finidi and amuneke as well as always played through by mercurial jay jay from the middle by now em for don hit 30 goals

Remember that was an era when finidi was rated as the best number 7/RW in the world

There was no Amuneke and Finidi when he finished second joint top goalscorer in 1990 AFCON neither was there Amuneke in 1992 AFCON when he finished top goalscorer.

It has nothing to do with the caliber of players he played with.

omg 😳 life’s indeed an irony ! I recall vividly when we were romancing Tammy Abraham to play for us but look at us today blessed with Top class forwards … he and his likes will be silently regretting now. God is indeed a great God 🙌
You can say that again...

Then Tammy Abraham was being so hyped way above Osimhen. But today Osimhen is far ahead in everything.

He's now a hotcake in world football while the once hyped Tammy is nowhere to be found.

to hv more playing time and to be closely monitored for a possible call up to the first team when needed mostly when injuries hit the squad

Academy players called up to the first team to train as well as making the bench implies how good the snr team handlers thinks of such talents

Akin making inter’s first team training and bench last season after just few months with their primavera squad shows how good he is

Also he had offers to move out on loan this window frm mid table serie A and serie b clubs but inter decided against it

*his status.
*his achievements.

charlesemeka85:
yes of course. He is already tagged as one of the best strikers in the world currently and winning the Apoty will elevate he’s status more

Not winning a major trophy with Nigeria can’t and won’t rob him of he’s achievements

At 22 years (1986) where was Yekini! At 22 years Oshimen was already one of the best strikers in the world (AFON and World Cup qualifiers highest goal scorer) but missed the AFCON through injuries. At 20 years, Oshimen already had AFCON bronze.

At 24 years, he has achieved what Yekini could only dreamed of! At this stage of Yekini's life he can't lace Oshimen's shoe. And what Oshimen will achieve in the future will only be a pipe dream for Yekini.

Well, in the 80s, African football was very competitive because majority of their stars played in Africa then.

That was when the Nigerian professional football league was very interesting. Even CAF champions league.

Rashidi was part of the team that was defeated in 1984 Champions league finals in Lagos after winning the league in 1983 and scored 45 goals in 53 matches for 3sc.

He was just 20 years old then.

Osimhen has also done well and has achieved in Europe.

Well, we thank God we are here to tell the true story.

Osimhen is good. Yekini was not bad.
