I thank Obi and his ipob cult mob for waking us up, I thank God for their constant threats, abuse, insults an denigrating remarks against Yoruba people and Lagosians, I thank them for calling Lagos state a no man's land.

They've been pushing and pushing Yoruba people for decades while Yoruba people form decency, and sophistication and look the other way, but the Igbos pushed too far and their actions before and after the election pushed Yoruba people and Lgosians over the edge, now they are saying enough is enough, it's time to put the Igbos in their place and let them know that Lagos is not a no man's land, it belongs to Yoruba people, govern and administered by Yoruba people with.

The legislators in Lagos are part of the awakening so expect to see state laws, policies and programs flourishing across the state, entrenching Yorubaness across the board all over Lagos state.

This is just the beginning, thanks to Obi and his pob cult mob, they did the Yoruba people and Lagosians a great favor.

this is retrogressive

Any university worth the name should be able to accommodate international students ..

A university should be a citadel of learning and excellence not a citadel of animalistic tribalism

Learning Yoruba language is part of learning.
Same Yoruba language that is taught in US schools

This is university of Florida

that is a general language now. I am not arguing with u but china, Germany or Russia don't speak English. So u have to know germaan language or Chinese to survive in all those places. I believe their are lot of courses that students in university shouldn't do in some particular department because it doesn't really add anything and doing it for one semester won't change anything. That is my take

Lagos is Yorubaland

Learning Yoruba will help them

If Yorubas put in the effort to learn English to communicate with others then others in YORUBALAND should also learn Yoruba otherwise some People may think Lagos is a No Man's Land

Lagos is the beauty of one Nigeria as a cosmopolitan city. Imposing Yoruba dominance would be highly resisted by well meaning Nigerians from Igbo and Hausa-Fulani extraction.

You don join Hausa Fulani to your struggle.
Hausa Fulani are not interested in dragging Lagos with Yoruba.
So you are alone, and you never finish fighting for Biafra, na Lagos fight you want to come and end your life patapata.

All Yorubas across the country down to Togo and Benin will make sure you people take your eyes from Lagos once and for all

They come specifically to learn the language and those Cubans and Brazilian have a strong Yoruba presence. LASU has a Yoruba department which these foreign guys can easily join, but I don't see why law, medical or other students should compulsory learn Yoruba or any other language for that matter.

Lagos state university is owned by Lagos state and a Yoruba state.
If you go to Germany, some schools made learning of German compulsory even up to final year

Lagos is a Cosmopolitan City in YORUBALAND!!!!

It is you who will go back home if you don't want Yoruba influence in Lagos

because you cannot drive Yorubas into the Bush in their own Homeland

A federal university in the east made Igbo language compulsory.. I didn’t see you cry then..

Funny enough, some yorubas have been manipulated already with that statement alone. That was how they manipulated them to kiss Peter OBI ass!

When Igbos are selling any idea to you yorubas, the first question you should as is that,WILL THEY TOLERATE THE SAME THING?..."HOW ARE THEY DOING IN THEIR OWN LAND"....if theh ask this question, their eyes go clearly

Lagos is a metropolitan city and a former Federal territory. Imposing Yoruba language in Lagos, a city that showcases the beauty of Nigeria's diversity is highly condemnable. Too bad
Lagos City Lagos state two different things just like with
Enugu
Ondo
O yo
Kano
Kaduna
Sokoto
Bauchi etc

Lagos state is not a city and it was not the former federal capital

English is our official language, u are making it sound like the English is what wants to overtake the yorubas language, otherwise they can make the official language of the southwest Yoruba language. The language stuff isn't too bad because even my school do french for people that require it and other languages like German, Chinese for people in food tech, htm.

Igbo language has never been use to lord over non-indigenes in SouthEast.

It seems Igbos are the only liberal and accomodating majority in Nigeria at the moment.

In Igboland, "The live and let live" philosophy as portrayed in Chinua Achebe's Things Fall Apart remain the ultimate goal in peaceful and serene co-existence among indigenes and non-indigenes alike.

This move to introduce GNS 104 whatever in UNILAG should be abolished. Not good for Nigeria's diversity. It will make other Nigerians apprehensive of their own country. Let's kill tribalism before it kills us.

Yes, we Yorubas won’t go against them because Abuja is not our father’s land.

If a Yoruba can’t learn or tolerate Gbayi people language and culture, he should leave there asap and move back to Lagos or Ogbomosho.

There is no law that says English must be our official language for ever

Once upon a time Greek occupied that same position that English occupies now.
That is why the old Testament.was written in Greek
The Yoruba do not expect to speak English the language of Colonialism for ever
You may be comfortable with that
But the Yoruba are not

More Yorubas are in SouthEast than more Igbo in Ibadan, Akure, Oshogbo and the rest. They would have all been dead by now going by ur empty and baseless rhetorics.

Why do you people love to lie like this? The number of igbos alone In ibadan is thrice the number of yorubas in the South East, who is interested in a dead region where most of abled bodied men are already economic refugees all over the world.

Go to all southwestern cities and villages and see your people swelling in numbers, I even saw some in an interior ondo village when I went for a survey, stop lieing !!!

You are yet to respond to ebonyi state University making igbo compulsory but Lagos is your problem, you have not seen anything yet. Soon in Lagos , you likes would have to recite 1-100 in Yoruba before you can have access to state facilities and infrastructure or else you would be deported back to Alaigbo in the middle of the night, you can only rant on Facebook and Nairaland, nothing will happen........e don go.
