It's a date. Exactly a month from today.
They should schedule another for Tuesday since this will take place on Friday to give opening to tryout enough players.

If you watched Jpes after match parley with the press… there will not be new players… he has his team already and wants them to play more together.

I didn't watch the parley though..

It should be trying out enough combination to get the best that will guarantee winning then.

We were in a tougher group leading to 2018 world cup. Now we have a very favourable group and it's a marathon qualification so we have no reason not to qualify without stress.
Toylove:
Do you think the present super eagles can repeat the same feat?

If Ighalo wants that, he will arrange it with the NFF. They don't have to force a last game on him. Besides, he already announced his retirement long ago so that case is closed.
elyte89:

If true … I will suggest nff/ coach shld invite ig halo as his last parting game to serve as his official last game since we knw he won’t be invited again to the eagles game

I knw say chriskel no go like dis idea 😀

When was his prime?
Icon4s:

By 1995, Yekini had already passed his prime. Besides, there was no major international tournament that year and what counted more was club performance. George Weah, despite his World Player of the Year, never tasted the World Cup.

Imagine Osimhen agreeing that Saudi Arabia deal

A lot of people on social media were advising him to accept it... many attacking those going against it asking them what if Osimhen was their brother wouldn't they urge him to go for it?

Likely to see Okoye back in the team and Omeruo,Iwobi,Sanusi,Akpogunma and Osayi…..am seeing Ebuehi,Collins out and one of Jordan or Akpogunma dropped,Onyedika will need to prove that he is needed.

Oga that’s the fact….if I have my way then I will include Nwakili and Akinsanmiro not minding his limited exposure as a professional they offer something different….Ndidi,Aribo,Onyeka and Onyedika are limited so Iwobi need cover up…

Lookman and Iheanacho in São Tomé match showed that Peseiro knew his limitations in the middle.

Not true @bolded.

JPes still doesn't know sh*t about what he needs in the middle. His list alone proves it. The only evidence that he knows lies in him inviting a player or two that will address those limitations.

Lookman and Iheanacho worked well majorly because the opponent was Sao Tome. Taking nothing from both lads but against Tougher opposition in African football, they both won't see, regularly, in a game the space they saw against Sao Tome in the half spaces and between the lines.

So playing Lookman and Iheanacho as false wingers behind Awo and Osimhen was just to overwhelm Sao Tome with our attacking prowess. Something they as a far weaker opposition obviously could not cope with.

Yes São Tomé a weaker opposition but playing Iheanacho and Lookman as false wingers despite having Aribo and Onyedika on the bench tell a lot.

I quite agreed with you on Peseiro but what is the way out

Only thing that playing Nacho and Lookman showed is that JPes loves to attack. He wanted Goals rain.

But the man still shows ineptness in balancing our midfield dynamics. The way out? I am afraid we are stuck with JPes till Afcon.

I hope he can just manage to find a good enough balance in the middle (not perfect but something not far from it by a few hundred miles) that can enable our attack really wreck havoc on the continent or he should find a way to make our attacking wingers function as extra playmakers VS the TOP Sides, both invertedly and on the outside in sync with their corresponding Fullbacks.

These ways, our attack won't be shackled but free of most limitations to destroy Africa and bring home the Title.

This is Nigeria's chance. Senegal for me is on a decline although they remain strong by reputation and class (which is permanent than form). Egypt is "Play and die for Salah" and Inshallah. CIV is a bunch of above average players with more grit and power than brains. Algeria is also strong but nothing like their 2019 squad. Morocco is possibly the strongest team in Africa now based on Team Chemistry ONLY but Cameroun is not to be taken lightly as they are always a traditionally clutch tournament team. Ghana? They blow hot and cold... and always hot against the GWG.

Look, Nigeria has the best and most dreaded attack in Africa. Best CFs, some of the best Wing forwards/creative attacking wingers. Nigeria also boast decent midfielders albeit functioning unbalanced due to JPes' picks. Our defence is not the strongest but it is decent enough with quality fullback depth and hopefully Torunarigha joining the CB options strengthens that department.

We have what it takes to make it number 4 but it rests on JPes' tactical and technical selections and decisions. But trust me, the tools are all there. It is more about whether he will recognise he needs a hammer when faced with the problem of nails.

Excellent submission! It's like you plugged a USB drive into my brain and downloaded everything in my mind about our chances and the state of the opposition we will face.

I might also add the goalkeeping department good or bad is another area that might determine our fate.

JPes might still tweak the midfield before the start of the AFCON but one of our many options like Nwakali, Eletu, Nwobodo will really have to force his hand by posting superb performances for their clubs.

Yeah, he conceded goals that were worth conceding, no be that kind Guinea-Bissau-ish goal wey Uzoho concede for Abuja. He's really good and highly confident, which is something Uzoho obviously lacks.
