Hi guys, I have been working as a carer since I came to UK and I earn Β£25k annually. However, I got a job as a food safety admin/quality officer in a company but the pay is just Β£20k annually. What do you guys think? Should I take the offer? What's the prospect in the field here in the UK? I need your advice. Thanks.

It's that time of the year when accommodation are choked, 2hioe you wait for a response, better plan towards plan B... Airbnb or hostel. Run a Google search for this and lock this down... E get why! Most likely when you arrive you will find it easy getting accommodation. You can also try Rightmove, Zoopla, Amber Students and other online platforms for student accommodation. All the best.

Are you still working as a carer? Is this new job a side income? Or you are leaving one for the other?

It's a full time permanent 9 to 5 job. I haven't made a decision yet as the offer came few days ago. Thinking of the best decision to take. But I am thinking of working part time on Saturdays as a carer to bring the salary to the Β£25k annually.

With a Carer some trusts can sponsor to train as a nursing associate which is a path to becoming a nurse or some trusts also do Occupational and Physiotherapy Apprentice programs to become qualified.

Check the link below, look at the Nationalities allowed, the rules and seek professional advice. Nigerians are eligible for about 8 or so.

Interesting few weeks..

Talk of sustainability of the state pension triple lock... meaning state pensions currently rise by the highest of either 2.5%, annual inflation or average annual wage rise. Moreso state pension is not means tested so most people are eligible to get it.

2.6 million (and rising) people of working age are currently not working due to long-term sickness. A vast majority of these claim benefits and pay no taxes.

In Scotland, the population of those over 65 has exceeded those under 15. Infact 1 in 5 people in Scotland are over 65.

Over 500,000 people permanently emigrated the UK last year... many of which are young and working age...

One wonders how the government would keep funding some benefits... moreso with high debt, slow economic growth and lots of sectors already being underfunded for a while.. hehe

Our experience and UK people on this thread,

Kindly explain/let us know we the newbie on how to send money from UK to Nigeria? What are the options available/explore ??
I think Tap tap is better. It allows you to send minimum of Β£1 and very flexible.

Check out Taptap Send: I use it to send money to Nigeria. Get it at https:///taptapapp.

Use code OLUWAFUN18 and we'll both get a Β£5.00 bonus to send.

Good day everyone, i’m in a confused state right now and i need help.

My brother sent me some important documents from London to my location here in The UK, it arrived 2 days ago and it requires signature.

On Wednesday, i was off work and was home all through the day waiting for this package but got nothing. I tracked the package and it says attempted delivery failed, i was shocked. But i dey house all through na, why i nor hear someone knock or ring the bell. I went to their website to do a reschedule for Friday morning and i got a confirmation email.

Yesterday i was at work when i tracked the package again and it says 2nd attempted delivery failed, Package returned to sender. I called Royalmail support and they said package has been sent back to sender but the problem be say na post office my brother go send those documents, how will they get his address?

I got home and asked the guy i’m sharing apartment with and he said he was outside smoking when the mail man came on Wednesday but he can’t sign a package that is not his. But i was home, you could have at least knock on my door and he said he didn’t know, sorry. I just look the guy, i shake head waka leave am.

I called Royalmail support this morning and the dude told me that the stamp on the mail says wrong address as sender is longer at that address. Which means that someone told the delivery man there’s no one in that apartment answering my name. I asked him what i can do and he said nothing, as package is already on its way back to the sender. I weak once

The problem now is that, my brother sent the package at a post office, how will he get it back when his address is not on the package? Or should he go to the post office where he sent it from to get the package?

Na my New UK driving license and BRP card dey that package so. Pls help, what do i do??

Fear not, it will be sent back to the post office it was sent from

He can then pickup with his ID. Not a big deal at all
