But this is going to be an interesting case. Hunter has retained one of the top Defense Attorneys in the US. He is already arguing that Hunter and the Gov. already have an agreement in place for this (the diversion agreement part of the plea deal that fell apart). And with all the shenanigans that happened with the deal he had in place, should make a compelling case for selective prosecution.

Hunter was investigated for 5 years by a District Attorney asked to by Trump's Attorney General Bill Bar.
Investigated for 5 years by a team of experienced FBI and IRS agents!! And these charges were the best they could find. And these charges are normally not prosecuted.
