I think it's to put pressure on the police because people fear nothing will be done.

@izzou, this is what can definitely lead to increase in price of fuel.

Higher cost of oil is more revenue for us but also higher cost of petrol.

Rolling out gas powered vehicles may resolve the issue, but then again as price of lpg is going up for who knows what reasons...

As long as NNPC keeps getting dollar from that window, there's no "fall of the Naira"

This is also assuming that the benchmark they used to arrive at 617 is around 700+/dollar
