Good day all. Pls I want to know if it is possible to get a family reunion visa D to join a Nigerian spouse in Belgium on student scholarship. How long does it takes. There is no specific details on the website. Pls I need some to put me through the process and documents needed. |

yemtope:It's not possible to do a family reunion visa, if your spouse is still on a temporary residency (A) card as far as Belgium is concerned. Student residency cards in Belgium are just temporary permits for foreigners, and do not allow/permit the same privileges a citizen or permanent residency card holder is entitled to. |

yemtope:Unfortunately there's no other direct way around it except; 1- Going there as a student equally or 2- Cross your fingers and wait for her to get a job after she graduates, then she should apply for a single residence permit that could accommodate you. Unfortunately Belgium doesn't have those immigration pathways which are typical of other countries. |

I am applying for Lithuania tourist visa but the submission is going to be at TLS in Abuja through Belgium embassy. Do you think it might take a lot time to process from Belgium embassy. Belgium embassy is taken my application on behalf of Lithuania embassy since no Lithuania embassy in Nigeria. I need advice on this I have been hearing Belgium take longer time to give decision. |
