Cabinet
Of President Jonathan’s 42 ministers, there are only 12 women compared to 30 men. The North had 22 ministers to the South’s 20. The South-East produced only five ministers. North-West and South-South top the ladder with eight ministers each while South-West, North-East and North-Central each has seven ministers.

Breakdown By Zones
South-South
The south-south produced the Majority Leader of the Senate, CBN Governor and six core ministries – Works, Petroleum, Niger Delta Affairs, Science & Technology, Culture & Tourism and Lands & Housing.

North West
The North-West, produced the Vice President, Chief Justice of Nigeria and Speaker of the House of Representatives and was in charge of six core ministries -Defence, Mines & Steel Development, National Planning, Education, Environment and Sports.

South East
The South-East produced five core ministers – Finance & Economy, Labour, Aviation, Health and Power in addition to having the Deputy Senate President, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives and Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

North Central
The North-Central, which in addition to producing the Senate President and President of the Court of Appeal, got five core ministries such as Interior, Justice, Youth Development, Information & Communication and Water Resources.

South West
The South-West, which produced Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, was in-charge of five core ministries, namely: Foreign Affairs, Trade & Investment, Police Affairs, Agriculture & Natural Resources and Communication Technology.

North East
North-East produced only three core ministers – Transport, FCT and Women Affairs.

Other Appointments
The North-West and South-South also led the park in appointments into top positions such as service chiefs and leading government agencies with nine slots each. The South-East has eight; North-Central, seven; South-West five; and North-East, two. Figuratively, out of 865 top positions, North-West has 218 (25%); North-Central cornered 154 (17.80%), North-East, 139 or 16.07 %; South-South, 158 (18.27%), South-West, 167 or 19.31%; and South East 123 slots (14.22 %).

You don’t need to call them tribalistic tribe. You don't group everyone together in one umbrella. Many, perhaps in the minority are nationalistic in philosophy and outlook. Before the coming of Awolowo, the South West had a national outlook which was championed by the likes of Herbert Macaulay, Davis, Alafin of Oyo etc.
Perhaps, from the time of Awolowo till now, the South-West became tribally inclined and pushed for their regional interest over national interest.

While the north is religiously political, the South-West is tribally political. Only the South-East, perhaps is nationally politically.

The Igbos held everything Finance under GEJ.. check Finance Minister, CBN and other Monetary agencies, na Igbos head all of them.

I didn't even have problem with that.. what pissed me off was the secret removal of Yorubas from top positions in Federal govt. agencies and parastatals and their replacement with gbos.. Like how on earth will people be so intolerant of others and unfair.

Notice how the Igbos attacked Madam Kemi Adeosun, claiming she forged NYSC certificate and can't be Minister of Finance.. same Igbos that were all over the place defending a useless girl named Mmesoma that forged JAMB result and was even lying against JAMB initially not knowing JAMB had a time log of all her dealings with them.

I am happy PBAT has appointed Yorubas to head major Financial Institutions and Ministry to bring about transparency and proper administration.
Take it or leave it.. Yorubas are the best administrators in Nigeria.

About Kemi Adeosun, you claimed Igbos attacked her and due to her forged NYSC, she was denied the Minister of Finance. As far as we know Kemi was Minister of Finance until the Buhari’s cabals used her NYSC to force her resignation. Why didn’t Buhari replaced her with a Yoruba but instead elevated his Hausa sister to the position?

About Yoruba’s being great administrators, we have to see how this government fares. I’ll give Obasanjo thumbs up for debt management, but also vilify him for dictatorial tendencies, increase in cost of living and loot of money meant for infrastructures like power. Individually, good administrators cuts across all tribes same as bad ones.

The bolded was part of reasons Yoruba elders met GEJ over marginalization of Yorubas in his government.. same Yorubas who trooped out to stage protest in support for his emergence as president after his principal Yar'adua died in office..
Igbos are fond of victimizing Yorubas they presume weak till they get outsmarted and they start playing victims..

Yorubas removed GEj and enthroned Buhari to teach the Igbos a lesson which they have not recovered from till date.

So in all, why don’t you direct the blame on GEJ an Ijaw man. From the positions held under GEJ, the North West and South-South had more say than the South East. And as President, the bulk lies on GEJ table no one else. Or are you calling Jonathan a baby who can make and stand by his decisions?

Why then accuse the South East of something they never had powers to do? Was GEJ Igbo to start with? Even the Igbos despite their support were just mere onlookers in the decision making of GEJ’s government. Until an Igbo man rules as President and perhaps make decisions himself just as GEJ, Buhari and Tinubu, no one has any right to blame the tribe for actions taken by others.

Among the three major tribes, who do you think is truly nationalistic in words, deeds and attribute? Tinubu is President, are you proud of his major tribal appointment thus far in a multi-ethnic and multi-religious country as ours?

The first person to be ever tried for treason and coup planning was a Yoruba gboun called awolowo; he was tried and jailed. The first person to be publicly executed for armed robbery and drugs was a Yoruba called oyenesu(my spelling could be wrong). The first people to start political rascality was the Yorubas engineered by Awolowo and Akintola which resulted in the wild wild west.

Are you aware that besides the Ojukwu national burial, and conversion of Akanu Ibiam Enugu Airport to International standard, GEJ left abandoned projects in the South East. The bulk of the project’s GEJ did in the South East were billboard project just like the 2nd Niger Bridge and other uncompleted projects like the Onitsha-Enugu road and Enugu-PH road. Even the Akanu Ibiam airport that was hyped by Stella Oduah, was fixed and upgraded by Buhari. GEJ did more for the South-South and North West than anywhere.
