Bro, you just expressed my mind. Am going back into Forex. Those days, when I conveniently made $50 in two or three trades, it wasn't much to withdraw,

But now,

$50 is almost N50,000.

Bro, Forex here I come.

Best advice is to impeach Tinubu.
Njspark:
This country is messed up they unified the cbn rate with the black market rate yet black market rate keeps going up and the cbn rate is still stable …my advice to the federal government..ban black market rates and withdraw all their license and persecute anyone involved in the operation ..what’s happening is Nigeria is purely greed nothing more

Why would it not depreciate when we are a consuming nation and the government refuse to invest in it's people.

At this stage Nigeria is still battling common things like hunger and food inflation.

This is the main problem. This should be a reason to protest.

But the Nigerian youths are now allowing themselves to be distracted by Naira Marley's
alleged involvement in Mohbad's death and the politicians will exploit it.

When you see Politicians showing sudden sympathy, just know that they stand to profit something in whatever way.

Getting it right is easy

The Nigeria Export Promotion Council should be turned into Nigeria Export Promotion and Investment Agency.

The FG can use their discretion in scrapping Nigeria Investment Promotion Council or merge them both.

The Nigeria Export Promotion Council have the database of those who have successfully exported charcoal, cassava chips, cashew nuts, and so on from Nigeria.

These companies can be expanded to create a paradigm shift from focus on oil to agro processing and other commodities for export.

This will increase our forex earnings, and also create massive jobs employment opportunities for all Nigeria youths both the employable and unemployable ones and boost tax revenue in all ramifications.

They have succeeded in whatever by exporting their products out of Nigeria, partnership with the Federal Government for business and industry expansion should be strategized for industrialization and economy boost.

It is God's wisdom that Joseph used to save Egypt from famine, only wisdom can save us now.

Peace!!!

Tinubu's government is favouring me and my family. I hope it is favouring his minions too.

I needed to change some FX to pay my cousin's fees. In the three days I took to make up my mind, it added almost N15. I was really impressed with Tinubu. Many remote workers would buy GLE at the rate FX is going.

When I started remote work, dollar to Naira was N535 or thereabout. Almost 2 years later and it is almost double of that. So even if my pay didn't increase, I am automatically earning double. Same with Pounds. If you were earning $1000 and still $1000, you are getting approx 1m a month. No way you can't live, save and invest WELL on 1m a month.

If Tinubu comes for second term, I just might vote him. He is my sureman. grin

That's not true. They are accessing the same market with it's attendant inflation, and their money kept in the bank in naira in Nigeria is losing value as well.

Expect supporters of the government to come shine the light on what is happening.... what the government they so vociferously back on everything under the sun is doing.... alas.... none.

That is how Nigeria rolls. It is never about ideology.... just sentiment.... that vanishes under heat.

If Tinubu likes, he can appoint his ethnic group to head all the financial institutions in Nigeria and if possible all the commercial banks, Naira will continue to fall as Nigeria continues to fail and fail.

No be swear, you cant plant nepotism and expect to reap growth and success.
If you channel this energy into making something you and your neighbors can use you would have done your own bit in support of the naira.
All these cries on the internet is not going to help no matter who is in Aso rock.

Where are those nairaland agbado urchins?

They should come forward and clearify us why things are this rough in this country else thunder will fire them all
I am one of them and thunder will first fire the illiteracy in you before it eventually strikes you.

You expect this govt to be subsidizing the naira against dollars and strangely still you are yearning for infrastructural development? You are expecting foreign investors to come into Nigeria to mop up your unemployed graduates when the foreign investors won't get the true worth of their dollars if Nigeria is still subsiding naira against dollars?

You can't eat your cake and still have it.

That is the true value of the Naira against the dollars, deal with it. Nigeria needs to quit pretending
that Naira is improving against dollars through underlying subsidy. The country will go bankrupt at a point in time.

Now that we all know the problems, all hands must be on deck to reverse the tide. Change your insatiable appetite for foreign goods. Govt should patronise more home grown goods too . They should stop jamboree trips to abroad in the name of seminars. Refineries should work. Agriculture must be encouraged.

Stop using naira to chase dollars.
