So, we are now back to the same old system of subsidy and the corruption and the stealing and looting that it brings, as well as the self sabotage.

Anyway, like I tell people here, don't support APC. Or PDP. Both tell lies. Tinubu is just doing what the Buhari did.

Ah well, a lot of subsidy supporters will be glad. As for me, it is foolish to bring back subsidy.

Make we leave Nigerians and their leaders to their socialism with African characteristics. Things must be cheap, eh comrades?

After all, let's lie to ourselves and pretend that the thing that costs 2 million naira costs N1000 instead. The people responsible for making the thing that cost N2 million will pay themselves from the sky, the buzzards..

APC, yeye economics.

grin grin grin
I was patiently reading through waiting to see your post. I would have been massively disappointed if you didn't share your thoughts. But I'm more disappointed you're still blaming APC, PDP, Tinubu, Buhari, Africans, socialists etc when the elephant in theroom is the fact that your theory is a failed theory at best and a farce in reality.
You can accuse Tinubu of anything but certainly not commitment to subsidy removal. He's even a victim of that policy in the end cause he's now looking clueless from every angle.
The naira floating to achieve unification failed
The Niger/Ecowas strongman approach failed
This is the only thing he was holding on to and it has failed.
You think it's because he's a socialist? No sir. It's cold stark reality starring him in the face. You can say whatever you want when you're not on the seat receiving reports and forecasts of the status of things and outlook both from security and political angle.
Go and reread your economics man. grin grin

One chance Government. Why not assist local refineries? Why not encourage modular refineries?
Your head dey shake true true. Talk talk cho cho cho... So all the work they are doing on the Refinery is what. is it your father that is supporting these refineries in Port Harcourt and Kaduna? you guys are a big joke.

If government are for the masses as they want us to believe, the local consumption price should be the business of the government because when oil soars in the international market, the investors will want to maximize their gains and that affect local consumption price since the government has deregulated the industry.

The solution on paper is not farfetched, put all the refineries in working condition, give them the crude at local price for local consumption, wage serious war on saboteurs and tightening border security and enact a serious law against the culprits

The problem is, the money for subsidy payments will now come from other sectors of the budget, leaving behind a huge deficit in the budget...which means, more loans.

ESPECIALLY if oil prices keep on rising.

Anyway, Dangote has said he will produce fuel in November...EVEN THEN...if his refinery was running at full capacity it cannot meet our needs . We still have to import.

The bolded is not true

Oga oo. Aren't you tired of being deceived? You guys tagged the information fake news a few weeks ago when the information first leaked out. Nigeria won't move forward if you keep defending this party's lies.

I remember in 2015, buhari said subsidy was a scam and he'd never pay it. Later, he begged Nigerians to be patient as things would soon improve so, we should allow him increase pump price as he's not paying subsidy.

Later, he increased it again and people began to react. They now said they were paying something but not subsidy per se. You should stop defending this madness cos you'd not be spared in the consequences of their lies.

When some of us condemned the sudden and utter removal of the subsidy when Tinubu came, you guys said it was the right move and now, we're suffering the consequences. Meanwhile Angola, another oil rich nation only did partial removal but before they did, they had provided palliatives like gej did years back. You know what the dollar is saying now
And Kenya that did full removal has gone back

It is. But it is what it is. He deliberately made it 650k barrels single train to capture the market
To say he can't meet our local demand at full capacity is simply not true.

Noo, it means that once again, agbadorians
have been duped by the APC government propaganda, the obidients were right after all, APC under tinubu can't remove subsidy, the real reason APC opposed subsidy, since 2012 is because they were the ones benefiting from subsidy, what tinubu effected, was increase in energy price, a vice grip way of taxing citizen to their bone marrow, such that 80% of their spending power is destroyed, plunging the whole middle class into poverty.

My suspicion have just been confirmed. Because the pump price have been stable despite the economic indicators that should make it go up. E.g. rise in exchange rate and rise in the cost of crude oil etc

I doubt this news

NNPC does crude for PMS swap and it earns its own dollars.

So where does the subsidy come in?

Anyways, the refineries would soon be up and running. No cause for alarm.

What is swap what is earnings. Don't say what u don't know. The part that is swapped does not earn dollars

Can't be fake unless you have zero knowledge about the economy. Naira has crashed further against dollar and crude oil price has increased in the international market by more 15 dollars per barrel since when the price jumped to N600 per litre.
What then do you think made the petrol price to remain N600 till now?

Lol. Don't mind them jare. America, as developed as they are, still pays subsidy. Instead of dealing with those defrauding Nigerians in the name of subsidy, whom I'm sue they know very well, they simply abandon them and are busy making the poor cry. The subsidy removal is one of the reasons for the high inflation as seen today. 1 dollar is almost 1k now.

This is what happens when someone found his way into leadership position by crooked means. Leaders who are genuinely voted into power would always reason and listen

Why is so easy to pay subsidy and so hard to build new refineries?
This useless and evil party promised to build new refineries but unfortunately nothing to show forth except bogus amount of money claimed to have used for subsidy.

Because oyibo cannot afford to lose out on the Nigerian oil.

They will rather sponsor IPOB, Boko Haram, give billions of dollars in Amensty but will NEVER allowbyoubtibhave true independence.

That is why we really need to break up Nigeria as soon as we can but like Niger oyibo no go gree. They will rather clear out the populace in a military operation like they did during the civil war using Northern + Fulani army than let us prosper
