Schoolhike:
Need advice for a friend.

She got a band 3 (mental health support) job from NHS and got another one as Administrative Officer with one government department both of the same salary.

Asking which offer a more progression.

Don’t consider sponsorship in advice.

I don’t also know what to advice, reason for posting here.

I will go for the bold.
Rationale: for a Nigerian that just came to the UK and will require extra hours to make more money, Mental health support would afford you that opportunity. You can even do bank work in another organization and the pay is more.
Some Trusts can sponsor a master's or even a Bachelor's In a related field. Most of us came here with less than a bachelor's. Therefore, progressing to band 6 is quicker since you have work experience.
NHS is keen on staff retention and doing everything possible to support staff career advancement.

Well said

Because those are some of the best communities you can find of people of similar backgrounds who are willing to help and likely have established procedures for supporting newcomers as they settle in.

Obviously for someone who is of another religion their applicable communities will suffice, and for someone of no religion, they don’t have to, but it has been my experience and that of all my friends of different faiths that religious communities offer the best opportunity to find your grounding and get information and support, especially in the early days. Simple things like someone to provide driving guidance, information on where to get things, or help with viewings, that one might find difficult as a newcomer no matter how highly paid simply because you don’t have those friendly personal relationships with people around, church/mosque would always volunteer to assist based on being part of the family.

I don't know about mosques or Pentecostal churches, honestly. But if you a Catholic, find any one in your community (there'll always be a Catholic Church around) and thank me later. Got my first job from a link from a brother we attended mass together, another sister took my wife to where she'll get the cheapest things in town at least to enable us settle well. Glory to Jesus, Honor to Mary and Joseph. Catholic Churches are not business enterprises.

Go to Cedarcrest Abuja. I worked there for 2 years and some of my Team members are still there. Save that travel money and get great care too. Make we dey believe naija too nah bikonu. My mum had her spine surgery multilevel decompression in Enugu sef. I didn't want her to go all the way to Abuja. We have great hands back home too.

I believe in naija. I even opted they try out igbobi lagos orthopedic hospital, but the wait time is long too. Reason why I'm seeking for alternatives. But this is just something I'm considering though and with these options you guys laid out. I'll have them do it in nigeria. Thanks

If i may ask, how much was spent for this surgery? Decompressive Laminectomy i think that's what its called. Same surgery my aunt was asked to do.

As you have experience in retail banking search for job in the same area for a start, gain more experience to enhance your CV.

Do you have at least a yr left on your visa?

Smh... this is very terrible of you sir.

Enjoy the moment!

Uncomfortable truth will always sound terrible.

You can deny it as much as you want, there is a reason why the bible say that the judgment will begins in the house of God.

I have almost a year of UK banking experience but most of such roles do not sponsor work visas.

No, roughly 9 months.

Hi, what qualifications and skill is required for this admin coordinator job sef
Strata1716:

It depends on what field she wants to go into, for example: I got an Admin coordinator job then project coordinator then project manager. This was how I progressed my career.

You should ask her what she plans to do

Yes you can private without a referral.

The cost is case by case but ideally you should pay for consultation first.

You can try London Women's CLinic, they have branches outside London within the UK

Wanted to quote @Viruses

dustydee:

You can check some prices on the hospitals website then compare it to cost of travelling to Nigeria.

Can you calm down and explain carefully what the embolden are all about?

One minute you are talking about employer wanting to sponsor you. Next minute you are in Nigeria and further again... You've only been in the UK 2011 for studies... Question is where are you and what is your employment status where you are πŸ€·πŸΏβ€β™€οΈ
