My friend Osimehn publicly disrespected his coach and he needs to publicly apologize. (Not privately) some of you Nigerians will destroy this boy with your attitude. As for Napoli, they also needs to apologize to osimehn if they were aware of such video (Unacceptable) for him to remove all Napoli logo and activities from his Bio shows once again that whenever things don’t go his way, he behaves childish and you have imbeciles supporting such. Mind you, prospective buyers, agents, media are watching. I have learnt to understand that sometimes when you’re annoyed just be quiet and give it few days prior to reacting and you might have a different reaction. This case is a minor issue that could had been resolved easily
What are you even saying? You are hellbent on alloting more than the blame due Osimhen for whatever reason. Players expressing their displeasure in being substituted (as wrong as it is) isn't exactly new to the sport. Just last week, Kvaratskhelia did same thing (though he was less expressive) and heaven didn't fall. When things like this happen, players apologize privately to their teammates and coach which was exactly what Osimhen did. Just a quick search and you'll see almost every top footballer in the world (Messi, Ronaldo, Henry, Ozil etc) has done same thing and nobody made too much of the matter. That you consistently want to make it seem Osimhen committed the unforgivable sin and that it's something he must grovel about in public to earn mercy is disingenuous. Even Sancho that publicly put out a statement to call his coach a liar wasn't asked to grovel in public.

Notice how you gave Napoli the benefit of doubt with the phrase "if they were aware". Do you even realise that their being aware doesn't count cause they bear responsibility for the page? Just three days prior, the same page put of a video describing Osimhen as a coconut and then went ahead to troll him for missing a penalty. Same page crowned Kvaratskhelia as Maradona's successor despite Osimhen's impressive outing last season.

Finally, Nigerian's are not imbecilic to support their own. They aren't when egging him on to do anything, they are just calling out Napoli's terrible treatment of their boy. No one is asking Osimhen to do anything stupid, it is simply a figment of your own imagination. I only reported what happened and quite frankly, Osimhen has a right to what he puts on his page. There are players whose pages aren't even open to the public. He isn't contractually obligated to promote Napoli on his personal page. If that is how he feels at the moment, then that's fine as long as he fulfills his contractual obligations by attending trainings and games and putting on the work which frankly is what teams want. Osimhen hasn't built a reputation of being problematic, this won't suddenly be an exception that will make him unmarketable.

Heard that Napoli used the hashtag #pessi.

If that's true, then the reaction is worth it.

Modified:

They used it.
a club trolling their own player is weird but threatening to sue is an overreaction

It’s people like you that want to send osimehn down the drain by encouraging such behavior. Last season, he did similar petulant attitude towards spaletti and everyone ignored. Few days ago, you’re publicly instructing your coach to play a certain formation knowing fully well that pundits, teammates, media, agents are watching and you didn’t even publicly apologize. Do you realize that no matter how useless a club is, whenever a player feel like he supersede the coach, it’s over. I saw the reaction on various Nigeria platforms and most of them were encouraging instead of discouraging such behavior even calling Napoli racist. As for Napoli, it’s equally unacceptable to post such harmful message regarding their most expensive player irrespective of being aware of the post. (Ignorance of the law is not an excuse). In my opinion, the both parties needs to publicly apologize to each other and ensure that such situation do not repeat itself. Osimehn f*caked up by removing all Napoli loco and activities from his page and once again, ignorant Nigerians are encouraging such behavior. To make matter worse, he is allegedly threatening to sue the club. Are you forking mad? As a black player, one thing that you want to avoid is having a bad reputation for anger or behavior related issue’s because the media is ready to pounce on you. Also, Nigerians keep suggesting that he should leave anytime situations doesn’t go his way not realizing that, the grass isn’t green on the other side. Let me tell you something, in England or Germany, their media are twice as hard on players than in Italy and you just guard your reputation with your life. We have been complaining numerous times regarding his behavior when things don’t go his way even for super eagles and everyone is quiet. You have to respect your teammates, coaches etc because they want to win as much as you do. A player like Cristiano Ronaldo was humiliated out for England for such petulant attitude. A word is enough for the wise. Osimehn should publicly apologize and Napoli should publicly apologize to osimehn

Napoli are freaking crazy for posting such video about their best player. Very unacceptable they need to publicly apologize or clarify if they were aware of such video. Ridiculous

Seems Osimhen didn't delete "ALL" Napoli related posts on Instagram as previously claimed. He left just one on purpose.

This one.

PS: Point is, what's done is done but just pointing out that it wasn't ALL afterall.

Let me quote your verbatim, " Ox spent half of his time at Liverpool in the hospital"

Which hospital please ? You are using one good season to and injury to equate his entire career at Liverpool.

I met Ox several times in the gym and Keita was considered not good enough, very inconsistent although he has had his moments, again he also was injury prone.

Oxlaide suffered a knee injury in April playing against Roma that effectively ended his 2018/19 season.
After extensive rehabilitation he returned in the 2019/20 season in indeed he played 30 games that season scoring 4 goals, his best ever goal Talley in Liverpool FC.

So your assertion is completely wrong that his career nose dived after his injury. You accused me of telling half truth.

Now what will you call yourself a LIAR 🤬 ❓
In five seaaons at Liverpool, Ox played 146 games and missed 91 due to injuries.... If that isnt an hospital player, I don't know what else is...
You probably meet him at the gym during one of his many injury rehabs...

You're just trying to be funny here... In your own words, or to put it more clearly, you want to make it look like Ox is making the Turkish league a piece of work (1 goal in 6 games) after failing at Liverpool (you forgot he also played for Arsenal), while ignoring the fact that he had inuury woes... It might have escaped your notice, but most players that suffer long term injuries don't always come back to their best, no matter how many training and rehab they go through

I understand there’s a gentleman agreement to give it to Morocco, according to rumor we get 2029 as CAF is likely to give the East Africans 2027 (Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania
Make the East Africans self chop small 😁.. .

Morocco will host a good tournament, I'm sure of it... My concern is the use of laser tags by their fans against opposition players that CAF is yet to address till now

Victor Osimhen is reserving "the right to take legal action" against his own club after his team posted a bizarre video to TikTok seemingly mocking the player.

Despite Osimhen singlehandedly bolstering Napoli with 31 goals across all competitions, he became the target of a strange, now-deleted video, shared to the Serie A club's official TikTok account.

oga, most of what you wrote are cap.... Osimhen messed up, but he apologized immediately to his coach and his teammates, but Napoli still went ahead to post a disgraceful video trolling their best player, not once but twice (coconut head and give me penalty), and you expect osimhen not to be angry? ,

About the pictures of him in Napoli's kits, he didn't delete everything he left two.
After watching both videos you still back Napoli over your country man is shameful abeg...

Facts. I watched the video too and didn't type throughout yesterday on the issue because where e dey touch me for head no nice at all. But in the end, Victor Osimhen is right in what he did. If the club can mock their own player, who is the highest rated in the Serie A, why can't he delete all their posts which they didn't pay him to put up on his page

I just can't wait to see him in another jersey color without a stupid "N" emblem on it.

Osimhen's reaction to being substituted over the weekend isn't uncommon... Even the best players in the world have done such before... And then he apologized to his coach and teammates...that was the ptoper thing to do... I don't think anything else would have come up until Napoli released that video....
Its one thing to be mocked by your own fans, but when your own club does the same thing, it sends a message that you aren't loved enough... I remember Kvara missing a penalty that eliminated Napoli from the champions league last season, but he wasn't trolled like this ..
Anyway, its clear there's little love between Napoli and Osimhen right now... I suspect that it started during the whole AFCON 2021 drama... Winning the league last season probably softened issues... Osimhen time at Napoli is almost over...
The good news is that, no matter how this issue ends, Osimhen's name will forever be in Napoli record books as the man who helped them win their first Scudetto in many decades...

You must have eyesight issue because where do you see me back Napoli? Personally, I think the two parties are at fault. First of all, osimehn hasn’t publicly apologized (let’s clarify that part) he publicly disrespected his coach and he needs to publicly apologize to his coach. As for Napoli, they also needs to apologize to osimehn regardless of whether it was intentional or unintentional. Enough is enough for you Nigerians you guys keep encouraging arrogant behavior not realizing that, Management has serious power at destabilizing black footballer’s reputation. Your emphasis on "public apology" is funny. So apologising to his teammates and coach almost immediately wouldn't suffice, he has to grovel in public to satisfy your angst? You conveniently try to skip the fact that his reaction isn't peculiar and many other player (including his own team mate last week) have done this and will still do. Some do not even apologize, at best they have a conversation with their coach. But the black man from Nigeria has to be different, he has to beg in public.

The same coach you're simping for called out Victor in his very first game. He questioned his dedication and contribution and did this to the press. You're also ignoring the fact that Victor reportedly had a meeting with Napoli yesterday to resolve this issue privately. Instead of getting it sorted, they doubled down. It's why his agent put out the statement, it wasn't impulsive, it was done after other options were explored. There are obviously other things that would have happened to Victor behind the scene that we aren't privy to. If I'll give anyone the benefit of doubt at all, it will be Victor and not a club in Italy who aren't exactly known for treating players (especially black ones) well.

In all of this, Napoli will be the one to lose. Asides losing a great player on Victor, they'll now be forced to do so at a lesser valuation should Victor not sign a contract extension. By next summer he'll have just one year on his contract and ADL will be forced to either sell or lose him for free.

I think all mention of Napoli on his social media was removed in preparation for legal action. If he sues them for defamation, then it wouldn't make sense for him to showcase Napoli showing him in a good light on his own page.

You guys don’t want to learn from Cristiano Ronaldo mistake. Continue encouraging players to fight management until they blackball the individual. Cristiano Ronaldo was constantly showing his disdain for his teammates/coaches whenever things didn’t go his way and his coach/United/media/pundits decided to pounce on him. Immediately afterwards, majority of the big European clubs blackballed him that’s how his career ended. Unfortunately, players should avoid any kind of fight with management because management usually have the leverage and they can damage a player reputation. A word is enough for the wise! I hope that starboy can come out of this situation untouched

As a black man, the last person that you want to avoid fighting is a Billionaire, Media, Club, etc. no one is God almighty but those people have the power to tarnish a player image forever. The highest Nigerians will do is to frivolously insult Napoli on instagram (Absolutely Dead weight)

Unfortunately, players should avoid any kind of fight with management because management usually have the leverage and they can damage a player reputation. A word is enough for the wise! I hope that starboy can come out of this situation untouched
Career ended at the prime age of 37 years young.

I can understand you trying to be the pacifist. I'm on that table. But you risk taking sides if you dwell too long on the issue.

I just need Osimhen to hold trouble at bay long enough to leave there. I don't expect murals on the street of Naples or a documovie of him. He is a legend regardless

You guys don’t want to learn from Cristiano Ronaldo mistake. Continue encouraging players to fight management until they blackball the individual. Reading this, I really do not know why I have engaged with you till now. This sincerely reeks of ignorance of how the football business works. It's an ignorant take to say Ronaldo "ended his career". How does a man end his career by being the highest paid in the world? And no he wasn't blackballed, he could have his pick of team should he decide to, but many of these clubs couldn't afford him and at 38 it wouldn't be logical for any club to make that kind of investment. It had absolutely nothing to do with his time at Manchester. The same thing happened to Messi by the way who even wanted to return to Barcelona, but they just couldn't afford him. Save for a few coaches who wouldn't want Ronaldo in their squad cause he didn't fit into their system and isn't as effective as he usually was, too clubs in Europe would have signed him if he had decided to take a pay cut.

It's also instructive to note that Ronaldo left Man U on his own terms, not theirs. He didn't just make impulsive statements, he had a recorded interview that was aired in parts and he obviously knew he couldn't continue with the club. The contract was dissolved by mutual agreement.

I'll go ahead to list a few players who had issues with their club and still made big moves. Sancho who is currently having issues with Man U and have decided not to apologize could be leaving soon. Top clubs in Europe are already lining up to get his signature. Lukaku expressed his frustration with Tuchel publicly and have since played for Inter Milan and after his issue with Inter went on to play for Roma. Mario Balotteli is one of the most problematic footballer the world has ever seen, yet he went on to play for top teams like Man City and Inter. Victor's case doesn't even come close to any of this. The football business isn't a cartel where you have to bow down and take every nonsense thrown at you. Once you're a professional and good enough you won't have a problem getting deals.

My guy, Ronaldo was blackballed by all the big European clubs after that interview with piers Morgan and his petulant behavior. If you think that, Ronaldo (Mr champions league) wouldn’t had preferred to continue his stellar Champion league performance in Europe, you’re Deluded. Now, look at the names that you’re mentioning in reference to this situation. Sancho, Lukaku, when you mentioned balotelli is when I realized that you’re an Enemy of Osimehn progress. Balotelli balotelli

You're reading to respond not reading to understand. The examples cited was to draw a contrast on players who made big moves despite their issues with their previous clubs, it wasn't an endorsement of their behaviour and I also rightly noted that Osimhen's currently issue even pales in comparison.

Also, I clearly noted the disparity in wage as the primary reason Ronaldo couldn't b signed. For a 38 year old player near retirement money is a big deal even if they want to play top quality football. By your argument, Messi also was blackballed since he should want to play champions league football over moving to the US. Same for Benzema who instead of staying in Madrid opted for Saudi Arabia. See how your argument doesn't make sense.

It's English, biko read to comprehend not respond.

and here I was thinking Napoli was different from the rest of the Italian clubs.. they're all the same.. Nigerians siding Napoli over victor are the most annoying to me TBH.
To some of them look closely if you are close to one, they never see Victor where he is today... they always wrote the boy off and when the boy is performing and due to emotion he was angry for being subbed off they quickly come out saying he's doing too much. Look closely too, you will see them adding world class to Osimhen name in any of their words for you not to think they are bias toward him

His career ended after playing for decades? As he retired or he should have been playing his best game at this age? Make it make sense please

His petulant behavior at United and piers Morgan interview essentially ended a glorious career for Ronaldo because no big team were willing to gamble on him even though he was still capable of playing at the top for another 2 seasons. Also, his attitude is another reason why he was hated by the media while Messi was loved.

Ronaldo's case is mainly because of wages. Even greenwood with that his issue could still attract a European club. balotelli wey cause plenty wahala no even labour to find another European team . lukaku with all the problems he caused in Chelsea and inter was still signed by Roma. All these and more have been playing despite being football bad boys but osihmen wey no kneel beg everybody for camera na him European clubs go blacklists. How many players have you seen apologize publicly after being angry at being removed from a game?. You just dey find wetin no dey. He has apologized to the people that matters and he is even on the squad today for their next match.

Attitude? Behaviour?

Lets talk about your last sentence.... If Messi is loved for being a good boy, why didnt any top European team sign him after he left PSG? As far as i recalll, Barca wanted him back but couldn't afford him.. Man City were reported to be interested, but not so much...
Age and wage is the main reason Ronaldo is no longer playing in Europe and not attitude..

If you think top clubs will start avoiding Osimhen befause of his current issue with Napoli, then you're mistaken... Mbappe did worse than this during the summer break with PSG,but they're good..unlees he signs a new contract, he would be a free agent next summer and all the big boys will be out for his signature
