Recently I was going down memory lane and quite vividly was recounting my habits as a young teenager, Some of them, I would laugh at the mere thought and I came to realize I had a couple of bad habits when growing up.

1. I had an obsession with books. Whenever I wanted to go to the toilets, I had to look for my novels first. I could not go to the toilet without a book in my hands and I would read for more than an hour forgetting I was in the toilet until someone banged on the toilet door, Then I would come back to reality. No matter how pressed I was, if I could not find my favorite book, no toilet for me.

2. I hid my novels in my big Bible and would read novels during Sunday service. There was a time the usher observed and he seized my novels during one early morning church service.

3. I got so obsessed with books that I would sometimes cry after reading a book. If I could not find a new novel, I would read the same book more than five times and would still be excited like I was reading for the first time.

4. I did menial jobs like cutting grass and bricklaying jobs just to get money to buy books. I read everything I could find, from Romance to philosophy to church history to autobiographies, crime, Third eye books about tele-transportations, partial raptures, metaphysics and you name it. I even had to steal a book at a point just to read it. Lol

5. I could not put a novel down until I had finished. There was a time when I read all night till 5 am and my parents used to have a big quarrel with me about books.
