It is true but also not true. With one thousand dollars, you can live for a whole year as a single person in a Nigerian city and live well. Smart phone, good food, good accomodation, good clothes and recreation even have a girlfriend but as a single person. Is that an advantage or a disadvantage for any country?

Cost of living in western Europe is more than fifteen times more expensive than that of Nigeria. Raw food is not the measure. Rent and services are.
thats not true nothing is 15x more cheaper in nigeria than EU. prices of things are on the rise...

some things are even more expensive in nigeria, because Nigeria import many things like phones, gadgets, clothes, shoes, they're more expensive in nigeria than in EU...

stop spilling trash here....

I disagree with this ranking.
You can't just rank the cheapest countries to live in using only the price of commodities in the countries without measuring it with the minimum wage in those countries.

Rubbish ranking!

You think youโ€™re brilliant, but youโ€™re ignorant about the factors that that propel growth. Unfortunately, most of our leaders are as dumb as you, so we are stuck in a circle of retrogression. Go and learn man. The best examples for us as a people is China and Japan. Those countries were once in a situation similar to our, particularly China.

Don't even go there. Lagos and Abuja are the only places I've visited so far and I've talked with people - I'm not talking about my friends. And who's talking about Barrow pushers? We're talking about salary earners - salespeople, shopkeepers, cleaners, househelps, some government workers without degree, even a girl I talked with works in CBN as cleaner and they pay her 30k the list goes on.
Akuko.

u said quality education... We ain't getting quality education for free na.... Go to public secondary and primary schs and see d level of delapitation... I taught in one when I was serving....d education is free but they're not getting educated.... If u want proper education in Nigeria u still have to pay come Abuja or even lagos ask how much dem dey pay for private sec schs.... If not for ASUU d decay in our primary education would have gotten to tertiary education which is still manageable
Oga, this our Administration is payment before service.

Work harder if you must eat

Give birth to lot of children and you don't have a company, then you will suffer for eat or your child turns to u and kill you due to depression.

You must earn only what you give or work for!

yes as it should be but there are less opportunities and some people work and get paid less.... If u take some people working in Nigeria abroad to work with their skills and put in d same effort they'll be millionaires within a year

There are 15 million natives of Nigeria and their descendants overseas that make billions of remittance for the Federation and their kins back home so no one can say it only cheaper for Foreigners. Tbh Nigeria is the only country on earth that I know rent is annually and not monthly *cough* Ireland *cough*. We also have the cheapest price for cigarettes and our best know staple Cassava "Garri" is always going to be cheap depending on the state plus we all can buy things on credit "ondere" here unlike anyway else in the world. Currently in Ireland the global inflation cannot even make people eat 3 meals a day. We are so luckily here we should appreciate the country we have because if it all gone it gone. Oh we also have our own currency since 1973 so the Federal Government can always manipulate it to favour it territory.

God Bless Nigeria.
Indeed.
