The vehicle problem is very simple, you ask me how? One of 5volts sensor is grounded internally.... That is what is responsible for incessant blowing of the fuse or drain of the battery. Tell ur mechanical or electrical technical to put test light on the negative post of ur after he must have removed it from the battery terminal.... The test light will glow or light which confirmed that there is a short to ground in the wiring system of the car. He should start to unplug the sensors one after the other until the light goes off . Then he needs to isolate the sensors and wiring for fixing and repeat the test procedure to confirm the issue had been cleared. Better still reach me on my xup

I was really hoping that I would not hear a story like this cos already, the whole thing is already triggering my BP issues. Reading this has just unsettled me right now. I'd be so pissed to hear anything has happened to my engine or transmission in the process of this 9 months trying and error experience.

All 5volts sensors draw their power source from engine control unit call brain box... If a sensor is grounded internally, since some automobile sensors wiring is in series to one another it will make some sensors inoperative....... Solutions replace the faulty sensor and engine control unit outrightly, the reprogrammed the replaced ECU or brain box... If you don't reprogram it car will not start. Good luck

Burn the car at night when nobody is about.
Show up the next morning for your car and involve the Police immediately. Now the problem is no longer parts or fixing, he will either pay for the full car or rot in jail.

I saw a scene in Nollywood movies today when a car owner was quarrelling with a mechanic that held his car for 3 months, my thoughts are how is it possible

Dont doubt it. I had an 03 camry that refused to start for 4 months. There was nothing I didn't change no solution. Engine, sensors, brainbox, key immobilizer, security system. until one day we torned all the wires from engine bay, dashboard to brainbox and discovered a bridged burnt wire. Immediately we corrected the wire car started. I lost money heavily to rewires, that car nearly killed me.

He's workshop is actually in the airforce mechanic village and as such, I have to show some level of respect and decorum in handling the matter. I've reported to the assistant chairman of the base but nothing meaningful has come out of it. Still same flimsy excuses from day one.
go to the nearest Air Force Base Air police office and make a report. Or dm ... I could link you someone there who could help motivate the mechanic

Move the car from the mechanic place and find another competent mechanical . One thing about cars are the more it stay on a spot without being moved , the more it deteriorate . The mechanic has wasted your time already .

I'm currently in a very bad situation right now with a technician I trusted and relied on.

I met him on Nairaland many years ago and have fixed a few cars requiring minor fixes(legs) with him.

I handed over a client's car to him since January to fix a wiring issue that was draining battery and not making car to start.

For several months, it was all manner of stories and excuses I kept hearing.

I was in the hospital for a month and just straight from the hospital with my surgical stitches fresh on me, I had to get someone to drive me to him as he claimed car was ready for pick up only for me to get there and car wasn't starting and this man disappeared and wouldn't pick my calls all through my time at his workshop.

After over an hr of waiting, I left. Same thing repeated itself another day again. To cut a long story right now, I have suffered serious reputational damage with my client who owns the car as he has totally lost confidence in me.

As I speak, it's 9 months and nothing to show for it. The said technician doesn't even pick my calls when I call him, neither does he bother to return my calls.

I've been calling for over a week now and he completely ignores my call. I'm really at a loss to how to handle this.

In my many years of selling cars, nobody has tried this nonsense with me.

Not even road side mechanics. 9 fucking months and nothing to show for it. I've had several clients wanting to buy the car but have lost every opportunity to sell the said car as it's not been fixed for 9 months.

Pls, I'd really appreciate input from the house.
The guy used "jazz" on you? Can't you move it elsewhere? Is he the only mechanic?

It has taken so long cos after I gave him car, I've been in and out of the hospital until I finally had a procedure done that kept me in the hospital for a month. I've been given a 6 months recuperating period from the procedure. I've not been at my best physically and health wise since the beginning of the year. I'm only just beginning to get my physical levels up and walk better. All of these has impacted on my ability to effectively follow through on it.

Okay bro. I understand you now.

Hope you’ve moved the car out from his workshop?

bro, with my little xperienz, the problem of the car is minor,if what u wrote up there is the problem, then the first suspect is alternator, coil(rare),if its mordern car (2003 upward),then alternator, leaked fuel injector, those guys are crook, involve police before u move the car,go with police and the new mechanic ,then u and the new technician should check everythng before u move it,cuz the dude might have change some part of the car and replace it with bad ones.

@Marpol. Good afternoon. Trust you are good. Thanks for pushing the thread forward. I appreciate the advice gotten from everyone. I tried to create another thread with a detailed update on what transpired and the response I got from this technician after I created this thread but unfortunately, the thread was deleted immediately I created. I wouldn't know why it was deleted immediately.
