The name should tell you alot about what you getting. grin

When you hear Michelin, Dunlop and Bridgestone, what comes to your mind?

That's the difference.

I once used one(brand new) on a Benz (G550)..it began to shake and wobble after 6 months of non constant usage.
Again, I got another brand new one on a 2003 Toyota Matrix, it still runs after 3 years.
Hence, the result for Double King tyres' reliability is inconclusive. Cheers!

@nonk, from all the comments we got here, we can see a pattern.

On your brand new double king tyres, you are sure of a 2 to 3yrs life expectancy.

You can now make your decision based on the above.

If you are a speed demon, don't try it. It is very cheap for a reason.

Try Hifly instead.

OP, why not buy a major brand like Dunlop, Firestone, Michelin, etc that spends money on research and development?

Your automotive life rests on tires and brakes.

Good luck on your decision.

On how much, i dont sell tires.

Secondly, the grammatical ambiguity of the question stopped me from answering.

So let me correct the question and answer as best as I understand it.

Why should I buy Hifly?
Based on personal experience, it last longer and would wear out without giving problems such as fast wear, structural failure, uneven wear or balancing issues which are the problems experienced with Double king. Besides, double king is one of the cheapest tires you can possibly get brand new, it is very cheap for a reason.

Where can I buy Hifly?
I don't sell tires.

At my current location, you will never see a commercial car with double king. They all use Athena not because the cheaper double king is not available but because of the kind of pot holes and the way these drivers never bother to avoid these deadly potholes.

Sorry but I don’t know.

I just wanted to encourage a safety purchase.

Good luck.

PS: Please don’t buy used tires also.

I used double king for 4 years. on the fifth year one vulcanizer showed me ‘koko’ on one of them so I put another set of 4 dk tyres again the next week.

I think the tyres are good for private use. If your roads are fair and ride isn’t too heavy then expect at least 3 years use from them. Just buy the right size for your car, balance and align.

Donlop, continental and it’s mates can give you up to 10 years of guaranteed use of you have the cash for it.

If your average speed on highway is more than 100 km/h, stay away from Double King Tyres sold in Nigeria for now, unless you have zero love for yourself. They explode on high-speed at will.

Just because they are too cheap doesn't mean they are good deals. Your life depends on tyre qualities on highway or high vehicle speed.

Unless it’s a bad batch, new Double king tyres should shoe a family sized sedan for 3 years before it starts malfunctioning.

I used one set extensively and ran it extensively using my own driving style and situations. The batch I used was produced in 2013. By 2017 the threads were still within tolerable conditions on all tyres but the sidewalls had begun to show trace signs of cracking.

The car was parked for like 8 months altogether because of my travels during that time and although I don’t commute far on a daily basis I travel a distance of over 600 kilometers 4 times a year.

Well, I decided to use them again so I’m going 3 years and changing... unless I bought a bad batch of which by the end of this year I will definitely find out. I usually hear tales of people’s own blowing out or threads wearing fast but it may also depend on the way they use and maintain the suspension components of their car.

Double king = 3 years guaranteed use (for me)

I bought tyres recently - 215/60 rim16, Westlake brand(chinese made) at 17k each. The same type of tyre by Michellin was selling for 42k each. While michellin, dunlop may be good but they are too expensive and there's no gurantee that they will last the number of years taunted above, given the condition of our roads.
Before i bought 4 Westlake tyres, i did a bit of research and settled for it - i found that though chinese-made it's sold in USA and over 40 other countries.
I have been using the tyres for over 2 months and no issue. The problem with some people is that they misuse their tyre e.g overgauge or underguage ignorantly or deliberately.
My advice is, get a good quality guage of your own or better still air compressor that comes with a guage attached. Believe me, those roadside guys (called "vulcanizers" in nigeria) will ruin your tyres from day one because the gauge they use can be dangerously inaccurate. I once had a puntured tyre mended and pumped by one and when i got home i used my own reliable/accurate guage and it read 55 psi, not 40 psi recorded by the useless guage the roadside guy used. Very dangerous indeed, because the maximum pressure recommended on the tyre's sidewall was 44 psi.
Another thing i have noticed is that the " vulcanizers" are fixated on 40 psi for all cars. But manufacturer's recommended tyre pressure varies. For my car its 28 psi ( but i normally pump a little above that).
So Op the bottom line is, the way you use your tyres determines the mileage you get out of them.

I have my personal pump and a reliable gauge. The vulcanizer that uses his gauge since when he was an apprentice, how can such a gauge be accurate?
Re: How Good Is Double King Tyres by dicksonadams(m): 5:07pm On Mar 27, 2020
to add to the above, any time you take your Tyre to vulcanizer to check the air pressure, they will always tell you the air pressure need to be topped off, because guess what... If they say no... Them no go chop.

I noticed this after I bought an air pressure Guage and I checked and noticed my car pressure was above the recommended psi and decide to test my road side vulcanizer by telling him to check, the guy still told me to top it. Imagine something at about 40psi about 8 psi above recommendation.

I currently had a Tyre Guage and pump and do the job my self. Before them go kill person.
