I think Tella does have something in his game that needs some polish and I am hoping Xabi Alonso can bring that quality out. Tella shares certain play traits with Moussa Diaby who is now at Aston villa under Unai Emery.

chrisooblog:
Yeah I slowly began to reduce my expectations of Ejuke after that game too. Decision making like you rightly noted is rocket science for him.

What's your assessment of Nathan Tella? Is he a diamond in the rough or just basic?

If they want to extend his contract then they should give him first team opportunities or loan him to where He will play.
What is the reason for the contract extension. To put him in the youth team till he is 26 or what

I am not disrespecting our players. They should keep improving like Samuel Chukwueze is doing now.
Yes they should all keep improving but Chuckwueze they should emulate has not done anything this season compared to what Lookman and Simon have done so far.

I’m waiting for Chuckwueze to take Seria A by storm cuz he can do it.Good that he started the last match and had good game.

Is this supposed to be an apology statement. Looks to me like they are defending the video.

🚨🔵 Napoli official statement on Victor Osimhen and TikTok video case.

“Calcio Napoli, wishing to avoid any exploitation of the issue, point out that we never wanted to offend or mock Victor Osimhen, who is a treasure of this club”.

“As proof of that, during the summer training retreat, the Club firmly rebuffed every offer that was received for the striker’s transfer abroad”.

“Social media, in particular TikTok, has always used an expressive form of language with a light heart and creativity, without wanting to, as in the case with Osimhen as protagonist, have any intention of insult or derision”.

“In any case, if Victor perceived any offence towards him, this was not what the club intended”.

O ti lo! It looks like Napoli are refusing to apologize and are contented with Osimehn leaving. I did my internal research and found out that, their tiktok page had a reputation of clowning its team members. They have done it to raspadori in the past. Although, it’s still unjustifiable and I believe that, Napoli should had apologized considering osimehn being offended

Our wingers are very inefficient and our strikers are in form. We should just ditch the wingers and play 352

We need to keep at least two wingers for dynamism sake. We can go with 4 CFs. that’s enough, considering most have not demonstrated they can operate from the wings.

January move for Victor. Although I did not like the deleting of all Napoli stuff from his page sha. But Napoli are trying to sit on high horse here.

Osimhen had to leave as soon as possible! The situation reminds me of Gladiators. Osimhen is just a gladiator to them. Only valuable when he wins his fight, if he loses he can go to hell! Italians mentality.

Napoli body language is simple! We were there when you were injured, got covid, lose form etc., then you had just one good season for us and you started misbehaving. Ordinary tiktok video you are angry and want us to apologize? Did you apologize for collecting salary even when you were not playing? Boy better be careful, we no send your papa ooo. Go ask Kalidou Koulibaly.

Osimehn better don’t listen to Nigerians or yes men egging you on. You should reconcile with your club even if you want to leave in January or the summer. One of the worst thing in football is to leave on horrible terms with management and unfortunately, management holds the leverage in this case. 2023 Nigeria elections showed me that Nigerians social networks critics are only huge on social network and they have absolutely no power to convince or change a situation. The highest they can do is to vent on Napoli social networks I.e werey, oloriburuku, shege and insult people. My brother, reconcile and end in good terms. Despite all manner of curses/insults tha Tinubu received online, he still won the election without any physical repercussion

Tufiakwa Gi! You from him to go from frying pan to fire? Real Madrid are the egbon of treating their legend like shit. The likes of Zidane, Ronaldo, Raul, Carlos, Casillas were all booed by madrid fans. If he was to leave Napoli (I don’t want him too) he should either sign for PSG or an English team. Bayern would had also been a great destination but there’s kane and possibly boniface
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 2:52am On Sep 29, 2023
He just dey create space between him and his opponent until they close the cap again. Atilogu master
Meliforme:
Have you ever pondered on the purpose of such dribbles?
A non supportive midfield, a poor build up of play, a crowded box, etc, can force a player to make dribbles in order to create space for himself or for others.

You have not noticed he passes the ball well?

Napoli have more to lose than Osimhen. They are the one to seek for peace. They have to play him to keep or increase his market value, apart from this they know his quality so they have to play him to win matches.
If Osimhen dip in form, there is already an excuse for him that he is not happy anymore in the club so top clubs will still fight to get him in the summer for a considerable fee and Napoli will sell so as to ease their burden.

Legend!!!! One of Westerhoff's discoveries!!!!! Made SE for Algiers because the "stars" Sunday Eboigbe, Keshi, Sofoluwe for some reason couldn't make AFCON 90. Uche, Friday Elastic Elahor, Daniel Amokachi, Ben Iroha, Moses Kpakor,Alloy Agu, Thompson Oliha, Isaac Semitoje are notable discoveries from that set who stayed around for a while. Ayo Ogunlana, Toyin Ayinla, Baldwin Bazuaye, Ademola Adesina, Andrew Uwe, Herbert Anijekwu, Peter Obanor, Emma Okocha were some of the other players in that team that I remember. Of course Goals Father Rashidi Yekini was ever present too

I don't know why Nigeria doesn't pull her full weight in CAF politics. We are just too laid back.

Losing the hosting rights of 2025 and 2027 is a slap on us. Big countries don't take such rejections with kid gloves.

England went berserk when they lost the 2006 World Cup hosting rights to Germany and again in 2018 when they lost to Russia. Even our own Adamu was consumed in the process.

All the big countries that lost the 2022 hosting rights to Qatar didn't take it lightly and took a swipe at fifa and Qatar and even launched investigations of their own questioning the selection process.

Here in Africa, CAF really like embarrassing us whenever we make hosting bids.

We bidded for the 2013 Afcon, only for CAF to give it to Libya and 2015 to SA and told us we will be on standby in case any of them fails to host. Now, Libya was plunged into crisis and couldn't host the 2013 edition and instead of CAF to cede to Nigeria as arranged, they said Libya and S A should swap and Nigeria should still be on standby. huh

Eventually, Libya could not host the 2015 edition and CAF had to give it Morocco. Again, Morocco could not host because of ebola outbreak and caf had to give it to equatorial guinea. Where was Nigeria in all of these?

All the major countries on the continent have hosted the Afcon 2 times over while Nigeria has only hosted once and gotten another co host.

Tunisia hosted 2 within 8 years, civ is hosting for the 2nd time, even Ghana that we co-hosted with has hosted again.

We should hold our marker down and stop taking this kind of disrespect from CAF.

Nigeria pulled out! Stop reading sensational news! Nigeria was never interested in hosting. It was Benin that seek for our help to collaborate with them. If we are ready to host no jupiter will deny us the hosting right. What CAF did is appropriate (Cameroon) Central, West (Ivory Coast), North then East Africa. Hosting has nothing to do with politics it's about rotation.
