This is what I do. Any one asking me for assistance to withdraw, I simply tell them to call the attention of the bank staff or their security.

I wouldn't discard his story because I had an experience abit similar to his.

To those of us who live in PHC and knows CFC flyover will know that there's a zenith bank by the flyover Bridge.

I jejely went to withdraw money from the ATM during that MMM craze of 2016 when liquid cash was very scarce. Lo and behold, the ATM was paying and I entered queue. I was the second to last on the queue. When it got to my turn, the man behind me walked up to me and asked if I knew how to use the ATM. I answered that I'm perfectly conversant with anything IT related and he nodded and stood just behind me.

I noticed his insistence on forcing a conversation with me while I was going thru the motions on the ATM up until when I withdrew cash. Then as I exited the ATM section he started by explaining how he was stood up by someone who was supposed to meet him in the bank and had no money to go back home. Out of consideration, I gave him 2k out of 50k cash I was able to withdraw and this man had the audacity to ask me if that was all I'm giving to him. He went thus" after helping you and wasting my time this is all you give to me. Not even 5 thousan naira, eh. As big as i am". His comment was deliberate, to make people around feel we had some kind of arrangement and I'm reneging. I was stunned and looked at him in disbelief. So I calmly said to him to give me back the money if he won't accept. He just walked away angrily. Amd went back to the ATM point to stand.

So it happens.

There are function CCTV cameras at any bank ATM, you're half safe couple with the security out there. There are lot of evidence that you didn't withdraw from the woman account

This scenario was likely to play out if you didn't give the woman that 2k... She will start shouting that you helped her withdraw her money and refused to give it to her. Before you know it, you don chop beating.

And they will compel you to hand over your cash to her.

It's always good to be smart.

You have no business assisting anybody at an ATM point .

It is a simple rule of life.
