And still went on to do another fantastic job with the 2015-2016 U23 side. Winning the U23 Afcon title in 2015 and Olympic Bronze in 2016. I miss Siasia in football. His ban expires when again? August 16, 2024 ba? Can't wait. I know he has his flaws but dude knows his stuff. Knows how to profile a player right for the most part. Not the nonsense Jpes is doing. Kog45: |

TheSuperNerd:I think he moved to Nice after the WYC that year. Another that got a move immediately was Sani Kaita who got signed by eirdivisie club Sparta Rotterdam |

I know when he moved. I quoted Lloris to show you just how highly talented he was even in the eyes of top players then. Before he joined Nice, Apam already showed World Class talent qualities at Holland 2005. Continued in that direction at Nice before Injuries ended his rise. We lost a player who was a potential bonafide World Class Defensive player. Sani Kaita, on the other hand, joined Sparta Rotterdam but didn't play much for them. He had an underpar European career but he did do a decent job in the colors of Nigeria at U20, U23 and Senior level. His only dent being that Red card in 2010 vs Greece. charlesemeka85: |

TheSuperNerd:Siasia’s flaws was that his team are too attack minded. The reason his teams scores easily as well as conceed easily |

TheSuperNerd:Kaita did well with Sparta Rotterdam which earned him a move to Monaco after just 2-3 seasons in Dutch football It was at Monaco na he didn’t play much and was shipped out on loan many times before his contract ended with the Ligue 1 club I remember he spent much of his time out on loan in Russia, I think Locomotive Moscow was one of the teams he played for in Russia on loan from Monaco |

Kaita played only 22 league games in 3 full seasons at Sparta Rotterdam. How did he do well? Kaita didn't do well. He earned the Monaco move thanks to whatever agent that helped him. At Monaco he didn't even play up to 5 games. Bad move exposed. charlesemeka85: |

Had massive love for that u20 Squad but so many didn’t make it to the top. Onyekachi Apam was my favorite based on defender wey I be back then. Mikel was the sleekly one! Not forgetting Solomon “Papa” Okoronkwo and Obasi. Another person I really liked was Ambrose Vanzekin. |

Nomyth:Mourinho didn't play a high line or a possessive style. So we ended not seeing the unique brilliance and intelligence of Mikel in Chelsea. |

I think Apam was already playing for Rangers international before he was picked by Siasia for the WYC |

You all should watch out for Benjamin Chiemela Frederick of Brentford. Boy could be making his Brentford senior team debut before January. |

charlesemeka85:That is how coaches grow tactically. They master their strength and fixed their flaws. What Siasia needed was time and support and he would have built a brilliant side for the Super Eagles. |

But Kaita was a beast in that tournament too, the shield that covered the back 4 and gave mikel the freedom to roam around I doubt we will ever hv another player as gracious and elegant as mikel in that competition. Obi was too smooth and intelligent above others, his football intelligence was second to none when compared to all the players that played in that competition For me his best game was in the finals and quarter finals against the Dutch |

Kog45:You will see why pretty soon enough. Personally am not sold on him. The reason he would play nice at his club is his position can be easily threatened. Plus there is the need to play to instructions. But in the Super Eagles anything goes. He does simple things in a complicated way. I dare say he was one reason Nigeria did not make the last world cup. The facts are there. Go watch the match against Ghana over the 2 legs |

ChrisKels:I read online that he is doing well for the B team and was featured in the first team’s friendly game mid week against serie B side Como Breaking into the first team won’t be easy but I know with time he will get there I would hv preferred if he moved a developmental league/club like the Dutch,Belgian,Danish or even Norwegian league Heard he joined brentford’s team B on loan though till the end of the season |
