Israel could only be defeated if they sinned against God. Israel could only be attacked and shoved into servitude, subservience and subjugation if the Spirit of the LORD no longer protects them as a result of sin among them. During this type of time, Israel is said to be in tribulation, when the LORD abandons them to their enemies.

When ever this situation arises, Israel always goes back to God to seek for solutions, to repent, to seek for mercy, and to remove the evil thing causing the breach from their midst. God always hears them, and heals them and sends saviours to them who lead them to defeat their enemies and who restore their relationship with the Most High. In such times, Israel does not declare war blindly, they wait on the LORD for guidance and direction, or they will suffer further losses and be disgraced in battle.

The unprecedented breach to their security is God telling them that their time is up. Heavyhandedness on the Gazans will bring unprecedented backlash at this time, the earth must be free.
