What the man and the woman is wearing is an ORIGINAL not an IMITATION of our colonial Masters. Any tribe you see that pride themselves in any attire that is ORIGINALLY an attire of the whites as their own TRADITIONAL ATTIRE . We your descendants are grateful and proud of you, we thank you for your love and sacrifice and giving us the headstart to compete fairly in a multiethnic nation you envisioned Nigeria will be. You taught us our culture of respect for our elders, hardwork, deep love for education, family and service to the community with your own words and examples to be Omoluabi and we are eternally grateful to you all. I have few of this kind of picture in our family album and know how old those ones are today. Those original ofi worn by Iya Agba in that picture and the oja used to hold the baby are still kept in most Yoruba families till date. May God bless Nigeria for ever! Lovely couple rocking it our traditional Yoruba garments. Same thing with Ghanaian man in Kente Cloth back in London in the 1950s when Africans wore their traditional clothes with pride and without fear of being different. 5 Likes
