One reason why I respect their government is that they won't sweep it under the carpet. Heads will roll.

And for Hama-s, they would shyte blood.

I say this not as a prophecy but this thing would likely become full blown

Honestly have been on my phone on TV news, how could such an attack take place and Mossad was totally not aware.
The military was totally taken off gaurd 100%. Alot of military hardware was captured and the Israeli civilians are paying heavily.
Israel is always aware of those rocket strikes and about 90 percent were probably shot down by air defense. However the ground invasion took them off guard. No one expected it.

Usually when Hamas's "rocket force" strikes. IDF's Air Force responds.

Today Hamas both struck and invaded. I'm expecting IDF to invade as well.

I'm waiting for that point where they usually say:

That's when I'd be like yeah, shit is definitely going down.

CAS INTERFACES WITH FOREIGN DEFENCE ATTACHÉS, HARPS ON DEEPENING DEFENCE COOPERATION

The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar has stated that the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is ready to strengthen its relationship and deepen defence cooperation with friendly allied countries. According to him, “The NAF stands ready to partner with friendly military forces on international defence and security, just as we are willing and ready to extend similar assistance to our allied partners in any identified area where our defence interests coincide". The CAS stated this recently while playing host to a gathering of the Defence Attachés of allied countries accredited to Nigeria. The CAS further noted that the meeting was of utmost importance as the increasingly fragile global security landscape has brought to fore the indispensable role that military forces play in ensuring peace and stability in today’s world.

Speaking further, Air Marshal Abubakar stated that NAF’s role in tackling security challenges in concert with other security Services, demands sustenance of a diverse range of credible air power capabilities. These capabilities, according to him, are often products of innovations and advancements in technology developed beyond the shores of any one country, hence the need for strong alliances orchestrated by Defence Attachés”. He went on to call on the Defence Attachés to pursue the defence interests of their various countries within the context of NAF’s aspirations which, he said, would easily dovetail into the sustenance of a synergistic and symbiotic relationship with the NAF.

In his remarks, the Chief of Defence Intelligence, Major General Emmanuel Undiandeye, thanked the CAS for hosting the Defence Attachés and noted that the meeting would no doubt help to further boost the needed symbiotic relationship required to effectively combat contemporary global security challenges. He therefore encouraged the Defence Attachés to use the opportunity provided by the forum to make clarifications and clear any doubts they may have for a more robust inter-military cooperation with the NAF.

Also speaking at the event, the doyen of foreign Defence Attachés in Nigeria who is also the Defence Attaché of India, Colonel Roni Singh Legha, expressed his delight for the meeting as well as the opportunity to further the already existing relationship between their various countries and the NAF. He then assured the CAS of their full cooperation in the attainment of NAF’s objective of deepening cooperation.

The gathering was attended by 31 Defence Attaches of allied countries in Nigeria. Some of the countries present at the gathering include India, Germany, Cameroun, Italy, Russia, Ukraine, Egypt, South Africa, amongst others. Highlights of the event include an intensive interactive session and exchange of mementoes.

The IDF debunked it. Also the daughter of the man captured in the video spoke to Israeli TV.

BTW the surrounding doesn't look like where a senior officer would be living. A Major General would have bodyguards as well and wouldn't be easily captured.

Ok, this makes sense.

Here a quote from Malcolm Nance that I just read on TwitterX. I think that sums up what Israel / Gaza will be facing in the next hours, days and weeks.

"The sensitive next phase of this crisis is not the military retaliation and occupation of Gaza, it is the HAMAS organized HOSTAGE CRISIS. It’s is apparent hundreds of Israelis were rounded up and taken hostage. Israel will have to go door to door. Many thousands of Palestinians could die. So will many Israeli hostages."

A huge percentage of Israelis in captivity are as good as dead.

The truth is that IDF and Mossad don't give a fuk about who is in captivity.

Politically Israel is a socialist state and the survival of the state is more important than anyone's life or freedom. Israel does not negotiate and hardly conducts risky hostage rescues anymore because they believe it's a big distraction.

It's very possible that some of those earlier airstrikes by IDF even deliberately targeted Israeli soldiers and civilians in captivity. Surprised? Google the Hannibal Directive.

In direct action against Israel, the Egyptian President orders a huge humanitarian convoy to Gaza, even after Israel has bombed the Rafah crossing.

The Crossing will open when the convoy will arrive.

We will see if Israel really bombs the aid convoy, as they promised

*COAS FLAGS OFF MULTIPLE EXERCISES IN LAGOS... Charges Troops to Adhere to Rules of Engagement*

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja today 10 October 2023 simultaneously flagged off three training exercises. The exercises are EXERCISE STILL WATERS 3, GOLDEN DAWN 3 and ENDURING PEACE 3 in an effort to ensure the protection of lives and property across the federation, as the year draws to an end.

The Exercises, which are to curb the security challenges in the South South, South East, South West and North Central Nigeria, are to run concurrently in the respective geopolitical zones till the year runs out.

Flagging off the Exercise, General Lagbaja maintained that the exercises are to combat diverse emerging security challenges peculiar to the affected geopolitical zones, in order to mitigate the spiking of such challenges associated with the last quarter of the year. He added, that this is when many Nigerians travel around the country in the spirit of the yuletide thereby necessitating the need for a safe and enabling environment for citizens to go about their lawful businesses without fear or apprehension.

Gen Lagbaja however charged the troops to carry out their duties diligently within the confines of the law and stipulated codes of conduct. According to the Army Chief, "We should not be a problem to the citizens we are trying to protect".

In the same vein, the COAS also inaugurated EXERCISE CLEAN SWEEP" at the Ikeja Cantonment Lagos to clear Unexploded Explosive Ordnances at the site of the unfortunate 2002 bomb blast, which occurred then at the Nigerian Army Cantonment located at Maryland, Ikeja, Lagos.

Speaking during the flag off ceremony, the Army Chief revealed that the objective of the exercise is to completely disinfect the epicenter of the Ikeja bomb blast and clear it of all verified and suspected remaining Unexploded Explosive Ordnances lying around the cantonment.

He pointed out that initial clearance operations ensured some degree of safety in the Cantonment and its environ, adding that the recent discovery of some Unexploded Explosive Ordnances at the site of the blast raised the need for the Nigerian Army to carry out a follow-up clearance exercise in the Cantonment and its environ.

Noting that the exercise will be conducted for 61 days, the COAS enjoined members of the public, particularly those in Lagos and Ogun states not to panic on sighting the movement of special military vehicles and hearing the sound of explosion during the conduct of the exercise. He assured that appropriate safety and security measures have been emplaced to guarantee an accident free exercise. He disclosed further that in compliance with global best practice, all relevant emergency and response agencies, including the Nigeria Police, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Federal Road Safety Corps, State Emergency Management Agency and the Medics will work in synergy to ensure successful completion of the exercise.
Gen Lagbaja expressed appreciation to the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his unflinching support to the Nigerian Army in pursuit of its constitutional responsibilities. He assured that never again will such unfortunate incident be allowed in Nigerian Army Cantonments.

Present at the occasion were the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwoolu who was represented by the Chief of Staff, Mr Tayo Ayinde, the Oba of Onigbongbo Kingdom, HRH Oba Adeyemi Ajasa, Corps Commanders, Principal Staff Officers of the Army Headquarters, General Officer Commanding 81 Division, Air Officer Commanding Logistics Command, Heads of security agencies in Lagos state, amongst others.
The COAS later paid a courtesy visit to the Oba of Lagos His Royal Majesty Oba Rilwan Akiolu I and visited Headquarters 192 Battalion, Owode, Ogun state.

CAS HEAPS PRAISES ON FG AS NAF TAKES DELIVERY OF 2 ADDITIONAL DIAMOND-62 AIRCRAFT

In its bid to add impetus to ongoing air operations, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) earlier today, 11 October 2023, received 2 additional Diamond-62 (DA-62) aircraft at a brief but colourful ceremony held in Ilorin, Kwara State. In his remarks during the ceremony, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, noted that the process that culminated into the reception of the 2 additional aircraft began about 2 years ago when the Federal Government (FG) appropriated funds for the acquisition of 4 Diamond-62 aircraft for the NAF. According to him, out of the 4 aircraft, the first 2 aircraft were delivered between February and July 2023, while the remaining 2 were being received today. Speaking further, Air Marshal Abubakar noted that the 2 DA-62 aircraft received earlier in the year have since been deployed to the operating theatres in support of the ongoing efforts to restore peace and stability in troubled areas within the country. While urging the air and ground crew that would handle the aircraft to eschew discipline and professionalism, Air Marshal Abubakar admonished them to also ensure the proper maintenance and operation of the aircraft in line with recommended best practices by the Original Equipment Manufacturer. He also implored them to leverage the capabilities available on the aircraft to enhance NAF’s operational efficiency.

In paying glowing tribute to the FG for its commitment to revamping the fortunes of the NAF and other Services, Air Marshal Abubakar also noted that the receipt of the 2 additional DA-62 aircraft confirms the sincerity and commitment of the Government towards ensuring peace returns to hitherto troubled spots. He went on to add that the NAF will in no distant time take delivery of additional platforms that include the M346FA aircraft, AW109 Trekker light attack helicopter, AH-1Z Super Cobra, T-129 ATAK helicopters and the King Air 360i Beechcraft aircraft.

In his remarks at the occasion, the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Abdulrazak Abdulrahman, commended the NAF for its efforts, alongside other security agencies towards ridding the nation of its numerous security challenges. He also expressed his appreciation for the CAS for making Ilorin the homebase of the DA-62, which is indicative of the peaceful and conducive nature of the State. He then assured the CAS of his administration’s unwavering support to the NAF and other security agencies in their onerous tasks of safeguarding lives and properties.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Air Officer Commanding Mobility Command, Air Vice Marshal Tajudeen Yusuf, noted that the acquisition of the DA-62 aircraft stems from its ability to carry out robust missions in furtherance of combat operations. He then added that domiciling the DA-62 under 303 Medium Airlift Group in Ilorin will no doubt go a long way in breathing live into the unit while enhancing its operational activities.
