After a year and some days, with serious hardwork, sleepless nights, I finally got my strategy.
LIQUIDITY and MARKET STRUCTURE.

I am working on getting out of my comfort zone. Dealing with my psychology, especially impatience and lack of confidence in my strategy.

@maroka5 and @tradinggiants... Those are exceptional trading from you both. You mind coming to give members some hints on how they can do better as well. I hope you guys keep this up for real. I hope play has tired the two of you for real. @zonal and those hiding their trading orders. Kindly open them... We need to help each other.

Whats going on fellow contestants? What's stopping you from making atleast 0.5% this week... Come and confess, maybe someone might give you the appropriate answer to your challenge.

Our ghost traders still remain Oluwayemipeter and Adesewa22. Disqualifications are imminent if no one come forward to answer those usernames., respectively. Although, Oluwayemipeter has taken trades on his/her account, except for Adesewa22. One thing is certain, alternate accounts full this in-house Sit Up challenge. Anyways, I pray make 'them' professionally pass their main account and the alternate, as well. We'll be happy with them.

So I have a problem, and I'm going to use the GA sell I've been on since Friday as an example. And I just realized this today and I feel so stupid.

I like to get in aggressively at the beginning of a trend and we all know that a trend retraces and continues and if you have an open trade that means you get a lot of profits, and then it drops. Say you are in 30 pips profit at the high of the move, you might drop to as low as 5 pips at the low of the retracement. This leads to what I call "dancing profits".

The problem for me now is that I'm used to taking my profit at the end of the long term trend (say it's 160 pips) and during these short term highs and lows my profits dance a lot. And if you've followed my performance on any of infofirst's challenges you'll find that I've always been kicked off a challenge for breaching daily DD. Not that the trade ends in a loss oh, but imagine being in 7k profit and dropping to 1.5k before the main move you're waiting for comes to bear. That's daily DD violated. I'm not saying this is always the case with the profit, but it's the same pattern every single time.

And the funniest thing is that I can see the retracement happening, I know when its going to start and where it'll get to most times, but I decide to stay in the trade like that since it'll still continue in my direction.HOW STUPID🤣🤣🤣

I'm working on taking my profits and running before it pulls back next time then re-entering because if it goes against me, I'll be able to handle the drawdown or loss that may occour without necessarily eating deep into my equity. I'm coming up with a modification to my strategy using more CHoCH's and my fib as usual and I'll backtest it proper during the weekend.

Thank you all for reading. I just needed to rant, I dey vex for myself. I'm almost 3% down in the FTMO challenge, and I saw 120 USD profit on GA, I said I'll take it later when I was more settled to look at the chart properly and plan my re-entry and i forgot about it totally because there was no setups forming today to bring me back to the charts. Now I'm back in the negative as the trade is close to my SL.

Your inputs are welcome.

You are free to rant. Get it off your chest. Shake it off.

What you have just written is the reason it is said that psychology of a trader is more important than his/her trading strategy. How you plan your trade and stick to it goes a long way in helping you become the disciplined trader which is all you need at this point.

War Palestine vs Israel still becomes hot news today, even Pioneer Natural Resources CEO Scott Sheffield says oil prices could soar significantly if Iran becomes directly involved in the conflict. But yesterday, the oil price dropped low 81.89, which is quite different from analyst expectations, or the impact of war is for the long-term? Another important news, Russian President Vladimir Putin told an energy conference in Moscow on Wednesday that Russia and Saudi Arabia would “most likely” extend output cuts into 2024 and warned that clashes in the Middle East could impact oil exports with higher shipping and insurance costs.

The most annoying thing is that I tell myself I'd do better, be more patient, wait for more setups and i go ahead to do all that only to end up with the same outcome. In a way I'm glad I discovered this, it's way better than the alternative of not knowing. Hopefully I find a way to implement it.

Gbpaud and us30 are the only 2 pairs that i have vowed not to ever trade again no matter how beautiful and low risk the Setup is. But if i should trade it today which im never going to do, this is what i will be doing to GA. If the breakout is upward, i will buy on retest, however if the breakout is downward, im not interested in any selling and i will be waiting for the market to put pain into sellers selling on retest and close above the Zone again. I will long agressively on Retest like that grin. I dont joke with the Inverted H$S , Plus if you draw a TL along the h4 downtrend, the TL has been broken......Well!! Trading is reactive and not predictive cool

Hello there,

Greetings, my friend!

The noted levels play a crucial role within the market dynamics. Many traders, including myself, have observed that these levels hold significant importance as price often reacts by initiating substantial movements—either reversing its course or furthering the prevailing trend.

Referring to PWH, PWL, PDL, PDH, PML, and PMH, these represent the high and low points of past weeks, days, and months. These areas tend to harbor considerable liquidity. Frequently, price gravitates toward these regions, clearing the existing liquidity before making substantial shifts. Consequently, these are the levels that dominate my attention and guide most of my trading decisions.

Similar principles extend to HOW and LOW, even encompassing HOM and LOM. The concept of HOW/LOW was introduced, perhaps by Jeffery Benson, although I can't confirm. Nonetheless, it dawned on me that these levels (HOW/LOW) command substantial respect from price movements.

My trading approach hinges on patiently awaiting price action to reach these critical levels and to demonstrate a reversal structure within these zones before I contemplate executing trades. I am also vigilant for chart and candlestick patterns, and on occasion, Fair Value gaps, order blocks, and ICT concepts. When these patterns align, particularly in proximity to or within those key levels, price tends to react or reverse.

My toolkit further incorporates the utilization of the Fibonacci retracement tool. Let me illustrate:

Considering the attached GBPUSD 15-minute timeframe (TF) image, I exercised patience as I waited for price to retrace to the (0.5-0.618) Fibonacci retracement range. I identified a double top pattern within my specified interest zone. Subsequently, I entered a selling position, with one of my take profits set at the -0.272 Fibonacci extension level. Upon closer inspection, you'll discern that these events unfolded around the HOW, which subsequently led to a pronounced price decline.

In a nutshell, the greater the confluence of factors supporting a trade, the more favorable the outcome tends to be. This encapsulates the essence of my trading strategy, centered around these pivotal levels. I trust this provides an additional layer of insight to complement your existing knowledge. Until then, take care!
Get the right knowledge.

if you leave forex how do you intend to be profitable? Don't forget, Profitable traders are products of experience and not by reading books , watching videos or attending seminars.

By the time you're back you will end up giving sizeable part of your income to forex.

Learn forex while working.(If you see job ) . It saves TIME and MONEY. don't forget one can not be replaced, You just have to use it wisely.

That said, you must give greater attention to implementing what you have said. The cycle of losing and gaining is vicious until you break out of it through iron discipline. All the best.
