This Phone Was A Beast Sadly I Need A New One by Ftheophilous(m): 8:49am On Oct 13, 2023
So, my phone screen got crushed this week and it has been hell trying to find a worthy replacement.

My phone fell from my hand into the open tiled road with the screen facing the ground and was immediately crushed by a moving keke. However, only the screen and the camera glass was damaged. The phone still works perfectly. I was even still getting calls but I couldn't pick them.

I am talking about Umidigi Bison 6GB RAM,128GB ROM that I bought for N78,000 in 2021. The phone spent a total of 2 years and 8 months with me and I loved our time together.

Although, I had to replace the battery in the middle of this year but this was the only time I had to repair the phone.

Now I am in the market for a worthy replacement but I'm just overwhelmed. The rising cost of the dollar against the Naira has not made it any easier too.

I am hoping to get the Samsung S or Note series. Preferably a new one but the S20 plus I saw on jumia feels like a refurbished one.

Any advice on where to get an original one will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Ps: I am willing to sell the motherboard and battery of my former phone as replacement part for anyone interested.

Anyone who has successfully purchased either of these Samsung phones this year: S10, S10+, S20, S20+, Note 10 and Note 10 plus; please your input will be much appreciated.

Ps: please where and how did you get yours.

Lol, well with this, a samsung is still better, I havent had any reason to repair or replace my samsung Note 9 since 3 years. Even if the screen got damaged, I can easily get an LCD replacement.
Umidigi might be good, but with android, Samsung is the best option

I can relate. I used the earlier series of iPhone, then I switched to Samsung Note series for their user friendliness across board. To ease the workload off my Note 10 Lite, I got an iPhone 13 Pro Max two years ago. When my Note 10 Lite suffered a motherboard issue two months ago, I retired the trooper, and got me an S23+

You still had to get S23+ while still using your iphone? Mehnn... iphone is definitely not for me.

I can't afford the latest Samsung flagships hence my desire to get an older one.

Yes, I use both of them for entirely different purposes. Note 10 and 20 are solid phones; go for either of them.
