Thank you!! We should have been trying this

charlesemeka85:
a skillful player like Bony can play any where in the front 3 positions

Also iheanacho can be deployed as an auxiliary winger who comes into the middle when needed as well as deliver good crosses as well

How? By helping Chukwueze, Sadiq and Lookman to score 1v1? My brother, Mancini team that defeated Argentina last year only had one shot on target in 90 minutes oo despite occupying the midfield oo. Just give the coach is probs and blame the players for the missed chances. Simple.
mancini didn’t coach Saudi Arabia the last World Cup

Also how are u claiming that Saudi had only 1 shot on target when they scored 2 goals in the game?😳

. How? School me then? A midfielder would have stabilised that game. At least helped in the defensive phase of the game. Sodiq had no business in that match. Period. Jpes didn't read the game well. I used to rate him.
I also didn't expect to see Sadiq in the game. But I saw we adopted a high press and we all know Sadiq could provide link up. And it's not like his addition put pressure on the team.

Now back to what you said. You said an attacking midfielder should have been introduced. All I'm asking is did we really need another attacker or a defensive minded fellow?

coaches of this generation prioritizes the midfield. The very reason some coaches even deploy a false 9 just to hv more bodies in the midfield

The writing is already on the wall for JP. Overhaul that GK department and scout new personnel.

what we needed was another anchor man like onyedika or Onyeka to kill the game off

One attempt from open play! So your Mancini na wash! He could have chopped 5 in the first half alone!

What was wrong with Argentina who lost against this low Saudi team, can you imagine Messi and his teamates?

the same argentina won the World Cup. Go back and review that match...

But even with the guys on the pitch an order from the bench could have been yelled to see the game off.

Hate Moses Simon all you want, he brings more to the team than Lookman does. Doesn't mean Lookman isn't better than him overall.

I have never listed Lookman as a winger. He should stick to the SS role he wears for his club.

There was a time i rated Moses Simon ahead of Chukwueze. I still do.

If Peseiro's coaching made us play like the Saudis and Mancini's coaching made them play like us, who would you be praising now?

. Exactly my question, in the real sense if the coach needed an attacker, at least bring in an attacking midfielder with instruction. It would have been lovely if he introduced a defensive midfielder. However baba went for Sadiq. It shows the man doesn't even understand what was happening in the game.

bro it’s not easy doing that when u re playing with 2 midfielders the opposing midfielders which has the advantage of more bodies can easily pressurize/press to regain possession

We have many issues with personnel, but JPes rigidity is overshadowing the ineptitude.
We have several players that played tonight that if they ever try the nonsense they did tonight at their clubs, they'll be benched and reduced to substitute appearance until they get sense and utilize time, space and teamplay. As for Baba Pes, he is good enough to reach KO stages, but he's not the manager that will make SE lift that trophy. Especially as he doesn't reward indiscipline and lackadaisical attitude with what they deserve. Smh

Read well please

What's there to read this is the comment I quoted below 👇 👇

M7even :
90 percent of us here knew that free kick will be a goal. It's almost 2 years and we still have a goalkeeper problem. Fine, the ball deflected off Bassey, and Bassey caused the freekick that led to the first goal and again the keeper should have done better with the first goal.

now I take my word back, thought you were saying about the second goal, which was Aribo doings,

so we good Man

E no hard to play negative football o.

92mins we were still having 4 of our players in their own half. Looking for free flowing football.

We could have just camped in our half sha

bro, we all are super eagles fans but it doesn’t mean one shouldn’t criticize the team if they perform poorly

Mancini na grade A coach and if we happen to turn the table whereas he coached the super eagles while jpes coached the saudi team the former would hv won the game

I am not putting the blame on our players but jpes. His game management was poor

It can only work if the coach instructs one of the strikers to drop deep which I expected from peisero but he didn’t

Exactly. This is what I was expecting.

Sadiq came in at 1-1 not too long after VB scored

After the chances we threw away in the late 80mins, I was expecting us to become very defensive (I don't think there was any subs left)

Aribo played very well. He mistakenly stepped the guy which can happen to anyone. He intercepted many balls that our attackers failed to utilize. It is a friendly and the cohesion will get better as time goes on.

We could have easily won 7-1 with better decision making in the final third. The overated Mancini team did nothing serious to threaten our team. We simply gifted him two goals to save his ass! lol

Good test for our boys. Lesotho go hear am for Uyo!
Sir,are you rating Mancini or Saudi team? cuz the team has been poor under Mancini

He went for Sadiq at 1-1. Sadiq entered and we scored the 2nd goal and Sadiq missed a sitter too. Where is the coach fault in that? Did Saudis over ran the midfield to score? No! With Sadiq on the pitch, did we score and create several other chances? Yes! So what da ff are you crying about. Rest abeg!!

I dey tell you grin cheesy cheesy cheesy.

Hopefully, we play better and get a good result against Mozambique. Not a bad game from the lads, the Saudis scored goals from 2 free kicks while we wasted multiple chances and thwarted many goal scoring plays. I won't fault JP in my own opinion, if we perform same wag against Mozambique then we can be justified to shout and yelp.
Oga AndSun,free kick goal na goal nau and wasting of chances is not acceptable in football

bro you are just being emotional, though as a fan I understand how you feel 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Saudi is not overrated bro, they are still minnows and it is shameful they forced us to a draw when they hv lost their previous games conceding good number of goals at the process

Normal level saudi no even suppose score us. I knw many will reference their win against world champions Argentina at the last World Cup but in football such surprises springs up once in a while

Brethren we need to pray and fast concerning this GK issues.
Keepers cost us Afcon and WC qualification and we are still relying on those keepers with zero improvement since the mistakes, warming bench…someone told us recently that keeper will cost us again.

But let’s be sincere I wasn’t surprised with the outcome of this game because I never expected the super eagles to win with the tactics jpes deploys

Even when the team was leading 2-1 I was like wow but when I saw the added time which was 9 mins I laughed and said inside of me that something is about to happen and eventually it happened 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
