Yes you are right but Sodick probably made a good first impression with JP, recall he worked with him before his long term injury. JP has shown that he prefers a devil that he knows to an angel he doesn't know.
Sadiq, Onuachu dem are not SE material. Shey you guys are seeing Boniface. First match, assist, second match, goal. That's how you track a player who is SE material. Not this flickering light that always promises to turn into a blaze but eventually fluffs into ineffectiveness

I have answered your last paragraph. He could have sub Sadiq off but cos na friendly and he just brought him on he decided to keep him not to kill his confidence. It was psychological rather than tactical (Human management rather than game management). In an important match the coach would have gone for the former. You get!
Actually you have. Valid point, substituting a substitute is considered a big disrespect to such player. Personally, I prefer a 4-3-3 but it's clear JP na 4-2-4 advocate

In the second half, long before they scored and any subs had been made, the Saudi's had totally seized control of the midfield.

The reason for this was simply their manager realised they were being overrun and needed to bolster their midfield and he did that by pushing a defender into midfield and going for a higher press. After they did that we couldn't get out of our half for almost 20 mins.

Their goal was coming.

These friendlies are both about understanding the deficiencies in the team and the result. The current goalkeeping situation is fatal to any team with ambition. The look on Ndidi's face was mirrored all over living rooms and viewing centres in the country.

The manager's ability to proactively manage a game is also seriously suspect.

Normal level dem no score us na us score our self. Normal level dem suppose chop like 10 na we dey miss sitters. lol! Nobody said Saudi is overated na you dey rate Mancini! lol!
Calm down with your effusiveness about Peseiro oo. He's not really a good coach. He needs to sort out the midfield and the attacking formation. Modern football is not won by the talents of Maradonas and Baggios but by the technical nous of Gaurdiolas and Klupps

🇵🇹 Cristiano Ronaldo has now scored 73 international goals after turning 30 year old…

…more than anyone has ever scored at any age for Germany, France, Italy, England, Spain, Netherlands, Sweden, Croatia, Denmark, Uruguay, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, USA, Egypt, Ghana and 176 more countries, stat reported by @will_jeanes.

I believe JP noticed Saudi has nothing going forward and wanted to press their defenders with double strikers while Iwobi will help us build from the back. In the first half we won a lot of balls in Saudis half which our boys failed shockingly to convert. In Paserio's thought why put a double DM for a team that has nothing going forward. We should have killed them off within 20 minutes! Instead of praising the coach tactical input na so so criticism. Wtf...

The last one we won was not by power not by might.

Skreppy Rohr was strolling to the final in 2019. No need to over think anything.

I agree... We just needed someone to hold that midefield. Not that Aribo is not good but that's not his speciality.

Thank you o.

What we lacked was an instruction to wear out the game. We still played like we were in the 70th minute
Yea...all we needed to do was to stave them of the ball.

charlesemeka85:
it is not about the Saudi’s but peseiro’s game management bro. Na emotions Abi sentiment mk u no observe that which was clear and obvious to many here?😳

Saudi didn’t create anything but tactically were better in the second half which lead to them equalizing

Bro Saudi team is poor talent wise but tactically they managed to get something out of the game

If you noticed in the second half they started dribbling more to penetrate our defense in order to get a penalty which they protested for like 3 times but the referee called them off. They resorted to that pattern of play because they know they lack the technicality and creative heads to penetrate our defense

This is the pattern that got them the equalizer bro

Try dey read and understand tactics/game approach when watching games

If possible try and watch the replay of the game to understand all I stated above

Which Saudi Arabia was better? Dem better we come dey create chances like water?

That was a counterattack tactics as soon as we scored.

I am a hobbyist photographer. There are times I and my friend will snap and I'd look at his and be like "wow, this, that". And then I check my own and be so critical that I don't want to see it.

2 weeks down the line I go back and I'm like omoo this is good o

I think that's how we deal with our games.

Saudi couldn't string passes fa! In fact the time I saw them dangerous was when Osimhen went out and Moffi took some minutes to enter. If it was us that was outclassed like that we would have cried blood by now.
If Pes no get video analyst by his side for in game reading, wahala dey.

Just screenshot can make one decode Japan style. Screenshot SE own and you'll be confused. Howwww?
