Bro, university job is a scam,no any allowances except EAA.the stipends u will be getting depends on the program your university is doing outside the regular university programs.depend on d number of classes you took for sandwich program,if you are a lecturer in faculty of education teaching practice allowance will be given to you if you are a technology 30k hazard allowances which gov.will even tax.i worked in university for 4yrs 4months and 15days.i can tell you university is good for people that they spend wisely but that money was not enough for me.even now the present take home not enough for me here too.

Good evening. I really would like to say a lot because different approach works for different personalities. However, time will not permit me. It is important to note that some politicians as I have come to know over the years are quite accessible while others are not. I have too many experiences to share but I cannot do all that here and now. Hopefully, by weekend, I should be able to share a lot more.

Boss. I have sent you a mail

No be lie, Please don't ever under-rate anyone. The first recommendation letter I got from presidency was from someone I under-rated, in fact she was a business center operator by then though COVID-19 later scattered everything. The next person that is trying to also connect me to a 5G+ connection now was under-rated too during my Masters programme then as if I didn't learnt my lesson from the first instance that happened, just asking him to help me with prayers during his lesser hajj for a good A+agency job then he broke the egg ( "I will help you with prayers and not only that but with my connect too" ), it was a long discussion sha. The man was very simple and humble to believe he is a 5G connection himself, this is someone that do beg me to pay him a visit at his working place during our postgraduate programme then, FYI the man is a head of a unit in an A++ class agency in this country where he works. I have learnt not to under-rate anyone henceforth, even women. People get connection shaa....

PRESS RELEASE:

Top-Up Program Beyond NUC’s Jurisdiction, Says NBTE

The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has cleared the air over the proposed Top-Up program in foreign offshore accredited universities for Nigerian HND holders, saying the program is entirely beyond the jurisdiction of the National Universities Commission (NUC).

The Executive Secretary NBTE, Professor Idris Bugaje stated this in a letter to the Hon Minister of Education in response to questions bordering on the newly initiated HND Top-Up Program using offshore credit transfer admission.

According to Bugaje, HND holders who choose to pursue an academic career, at the moment, have no progression path except through the Postgraduate Diploma and anytime they wish to switch to Universities as lecturers after their Ph.D., they are always queried to produce their first degree.

Proffering a lasting solution to the HND–BSc crisis, therefore, Bugaje has implored the Minister to convince President Bola Tinubu to sign the Anti-Dichotomy Bill into law, assuring that it will bring an end to the unwarranted and undeserved discrimination against HND holders in Nigeria.

The ‘top-up’ or ‘credit transfer admissions’ by foreign universities is being mooted as an alternative to the PGD.

According to reports, six Nigerian Universities have shown interest in joining the Top-Up program but the Board has not responded to their request as NUC may not give them approval.

The letter reads in part: “I write to update you on the media response last week of the National Universities Commission (NUC) of Nigeria to an NBTE-initiated progression for HND holders through the Top-Up program in foreign (offshore) accredited universities.

“Only the FME Division of Evaluation and Accreditation has the power to assess the foreign degrees (not NUC) after the students have graduated and may seek that.

“NBTE only provides HND Curricula content for credit mapping and eventual credit transfer admissions. The admissions are done by foreign universities and their Senates make awards of degrees not NBTE. In fact, the entire process is designed to operate seamlessly without NBTE.

“NBTE also has no financial benefit in the whole exercise though we requested low tuition of a maximum of about 10% of regular fees since course delivery is online”.

NUC, from its press release, seems to dislike online programs, attempting to take us back to the 20th Century. Online programs are today a globally accepted mode of Education delivery, especially in the 21st Century. Nigerian educational policy has accommodated that with an Open University approved by the Federal Government and NBTE-approved Open Distance Flexible and e-Learning (ODFeL) Centres being operated by 36 Polytechnics at the moment, and the number is growing.

Nigerian HNDs are much respected globally. Many European countries give them direct admissions for Masters. Last year, a shining example was Miss Islamiyat Ojelade, HND Distinction in Science Lab Technology (Biochemistry) graduate from the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, who last year received PhD admissions and Scholarships from seven (7) top US Universities, without the BSc. and not even MSc. Let us therefore start respecting our HNDs here at home and stop this discrimination by NUC and others with this mindset.

Mrs Fatima Abubakar
Head, Media Unit, NBTE

Federal Government says only the Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs has the mandate to certify payments of All govt projects; Zonal Intervention Projects, ZIP/Constituency Projects, CP, executed by Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs.

The Head, Press and Public Relation Officer of the ministry, Anastasia Ogbonna, made this known in a statement issued on Monday in Abuja.
According to Mrs Ogbonna, the federal government made this known in a Servicewide Circular titled: “Revised Guidelines on the Implementation of Zonal Intervention Projects (ZIP) and Constituency Projects (CP)”.

The circular which was signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume stated that:

“No payment shall be made to any contractor for ZIP/CP by MDAs without verification of the execution of such projects/programmes and certification by the Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs.

“Implementing MDAs shall invite the ministry to verify all (ZIP/CP) as contained in both ZIP Appropriation and Capital Appropriation.”

The circular, according to Mrs Ogbonna, added that non-compliance with the guidelines will lead to lack of proper implementation of the programmes and projects.

On the issue of funding for the verification exercise, the circular stated: “Funds for the purpose of this verification exercise shall be sourced from the Project Administration Funds of the ZIP/CP under the purview of the various MDAs”.

The circular further stated that it had become imperative to reissue it again, following flagrant disregard by implementing MDAs.

“Henceforth, MDAs that fail to comply with this circular shall be excluded from the implementation of ZIP/CP in subsequent Federal Government budgets.”
